it always surprises me when idols eat cause 80 percent of the time they barely eat cause their body is so used to little food and their full. Loona along with Dreamcatcher are two of the better eating groups lol they are missing the big eaters tho 😁

It's interesting, I know almost nothing about the members apart from Chuu, but I'm still enjoying this a lot. Within the low key attitudes of these four there's still a lot of variety and fun back and forth banter. As for talking about the offcuts and the offal, from my understanding I'd say you've got it right. The typical reason given for why meat is so emphasized as treat in Korean culture now is because the vast majority of the country had little to no regular access to it for almost all Korean history, like until remarkably recently on a large scale across class lines. My mother and friends of her generation talk about supermarkets in America giving them oxtail, intestine, and other innards *for free* at the end of the day, back when they first moved to America in the 70s and 80s. It was just getting thrown out every single day otherwise, lol. Obviously that changed when a certain threshold of Americans decided they would actually pay a premium for that stuff

Footnote; I was curious about what the numbers are for meat consumption trends, so I found an article which cited OECD (which sounds like a LOONA spinoff) records: Today the average South Korean eats about 53 kilograms of meat per year, or almost 10 pounds per month. But as recently as 1970, the average South Korean consumed just 5.2 kilograms of meat per year, or just under a pound every month.
