I think Antifragiles mv and attitude will always stand on top for me in this trilogy but Unforgiven has been such an earworm already. Super happy with this title-track 'fearnot' is such a yunjin song, you can hear it so much especially after listening to all her solo releases she's done in the last year. The incorporation of the korean pronunciation of 'fearnot' in korean into the lyrics, the fearless/fear less line, and the tswift chorus wow. It's great that only a year since their debut, you can already hear yunjins distinctive songwriting voice. I can only hope that Source and Hybe continue to foster her talent and give her the room to hopefully be a main songwriter for their title tracks. They already have such a strong foundation of concepts, letting her insert her influence into the big singles would be amazing. I love how varied this album was. Although it didn't feel as cohesive to the first two parts of the trilogy, the songs are super strong and it really goes to show that Hybe producers never fail to execute a concept that they envision. [e] I suspect Yunjin is credited on 'Eve, Psyche..' for the "I'm a mess in distress" line solely/mostly. There is an extended version of 'The Hydra' from Antifragile that was used for teasers and their comeback show and Yunjin wrote those lines. "I'm a mess..." is a snippet of that but it was cut from the album version of the song. Yunjin shared her drafts of this in a vlog as well.

So with you on Unforgiven. As much as I love Fearless and Antifragile now, I did not latch onto them as quickly as I did Unforgiven. The repetitiveness and callouts to the Unforgiven girls and boys makes it feel more like an anthem to me. Have a feeling hearing it live will alter brain chemistries, haha. The gem of this album for me is No Return though. Been dying to hear the studio version of this since they performed it live at their fan meeting a few months back.

i thought the album was okay, i personally liked the previous two album's b-sides a lot more. i don't dislike any of the songs, but i don't love them.
