I wish I came around to Fireflower like you did, it's the only song I don't listen to on the album~

I don't find Fireflower to be latin inspired. It sounds more Balkans to me. I hear a touch of that in Nerdy as well. I agree I can see it being a Mamamoo song. I like it a lot.

Yeah I could totally see Love is Dead being on I Never Die haha, great song! I absolutely adore this album, can't even do a ranking because I love every song. Summer Rain is probably my favourite though, there's definitely something special about that song. Purple Kiss have always been a group that I've enjoyed, but have just been on the precipice of absolutely loving, and this release has definitely pushed them over that line for me. Favourite title track and album from them yet, so happy with this release.

I definitely do feel a bit of Mamamoo DNA in Nerdy and FireFlower, but not to the extent of being derivative. They struck a good balance, imo. FireFlower seems to be the most divisive song this time around, and while that vibe usually isn't my thing either, I think the execution here is spectacular and I can't get enough of that groove. I listened to this album a LOT yesterday while working and also during that evening walk, and I'm increasingly confident that this is my new favorite album of theirs since Into Violet, and easily their best title track. I'm very torn between Love Is Dead and Summer Rain for my top song - they serve such completely different moods, and honestly for a while there, my favorite song was just whichever one I heard last out of all five. 😂 As a Yuki simp, I'm also overjoyed that she's shining so much on here, as for whatever reason, I felt that she didn't really get to breathe on the memeM album. Fantastic release, and I can't wait for live stages and all the extra content we can get our hands on.
