haha the way anti-romantic, lovesong, magic and no rules are the 4 tracks i have in my playlist. lol. i never rly noticed the autotune in the other songs but now that you mention it, yea i can see how it can be quite grating. re ice cream trucks, we dont have trucks that play a jingle here but we have old folks who have an ice cream tank(?) attached to their motorcycles and they set up camp at random spots with a large umbrella and ring bells to attract people.

The thing about Hybe and filters/autotune is that they didn't really use it THAT frequently until recently. Enhypen has it a lot, yes. TxT uses it here and there as you saw in this album. BTS straight up didn't use it at all or really really rarely for effects, until recently. I'd say starting with their Map of the Soul albums is when they pushed more into tuning the vocals. Most of their older stuff doesn't have or has it in some cases for a minor effect but not something too overwhelming. Again, one of the reasons i always say you would love their "Wings" album, Blood Sweat and Tears is one of the best title tracks in all of Kpop (fight me) and the bsides are all amazing (all but 1 but nevertheless) and this is coming from someone who isn't an Army and doesn't necessarily like all of their stuff. "Wings" is THAT good.

I totally agree with you about Bighit overusing filters/autotune! It genuinely annoys me so much cause it takes away from what could have been a really good song. And I wouldn’t mind it so much if it actually fit the concept and vibe of the song but most of the time it doesn’t. 😩😭

Hmm, I remember being bothered by the autotune/filter at the beginning of their career but nowadays I don’t really mind it (or even think about it really). I think it’s because I can now distinguish their voices really well from each other, so in the songs, they just sound like themselves (idk if that made sense lol). But overall, I think your opinions align with the majority's, if you look at the streams in Spotify, the songs that you liked have more plays than the ones you didn't!

Every song on this album has a different producer. You can check out genius.com for all the info. Fun Fact: Huening Kai is listed as one of the producers for "Dear Sputnik". He did a great job!!

Ahh you're so right about their b-sides, we have the same favorites! (Although I actually like WIIHBTP, sue me! I love a healthy dose of autotuned fun every now and again!) I hope you eventually check out one of their stages for "anti-romantic" and "no rules" ! (one thing about TXT -- they know which b-sides to choose for promotions! that goes for every era!)
