something i appreciate about pentagon albums is that they are so cohesive. like usually when you listen to an album, tho all the songs may sound good or amazing even, a lot of the time there’s not really a cohesive sound connecting them ex. I’VE IVE by ive. but with pentagon, i definitely hear a difference between their albums sounds, like this album is completely different in concept to love or take though both are amazing. anyways, my ranking: 1. sparkling night 2. call my name 3. the game 4. one shot 5. bad 6. feelin like

I'm only halfway through watching this so I'll be back haha but omg you almost caught the reference in Call My Name! The sample is from the actual No Diggity song. The fact that they had it in the lyrics and then sampled it in the song.... One of the most genius thing in this album imo . 💥

aaah it's here I waited so long for this.

Definitely knew the album B sides would be way more your style overall! It’s like I said, Feelin’ Like is great in terms of being a decent performance song and sort of acts as an catchy intro to make people interested in the album, but it’s by no means their best work. In terms of who made what; One Shot was Wooseok and Shinwon, Call My Name and Sparkling Night were Wooseok and Kino, The Game and Bad were Wooseok.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong Feelin like Lyrics by Kino, Wooseok and Jinho One shot Composed and written by Shinwon and Wooseok The Game Composed and written by Wooseok Call my Name Composed by Kino Lyrics by Wooseok and Kino Sparkling Night Composed by Kino Lyrics by Wooseok and Kino Bad Composed and written by Wooseok

the writers of the songs: 1. One Shot: lyrics by Wooseok, Shinwon. Composed by Woosek, NATHAN (Kino's producer friend who produces a lot of their songs), and Shinwon. 2. The Game: lyrics by Wooseok Composed by Wooseok, NATHAN, yunji, HOHO. 3. Call My Name: lyrics by KINO, HAEE, Woosek, composed by KINO and two others. 4. Sparkling Night: lyrics by KINO, Woosek, compsed by Kino and ROAMER DOZE (who also produced the song). 5. Bad: lyrics by Woosek, composed by Wooseok and Siixk Jun There is a behind the scenes video for the process of Do or Not, where you can see Wooseok playing a big part in writing the song with Hui, and Hui encouraging and pushing him to take over the wheel almost like planning ahead for the transition between him being the main planner/producer for their albums to Wooseok and Kino.

There unfortunately is not a live or special stage of The Game yet ))): they've been confirmed for a third performance on It's Live (they've done Feelin' Like and a cover of aespa's savage which I highly recommend!) and I'm reaaaaally hoping they're gonna do The Game... but we can only wait and see hahaah. It surprised me how many time the No Diggity sample in Call My Name went over people's heads, glad to see you caught on ;) My personal ranking: 1. The Game 2. One Shot 3. Sparkling Night 4. Call My Name 5. Bad 6. Feelin' Like But like, I actually enjoy Feelin' Like, so to put it as 6 feels wrong, but the album is just too good...

So happy to have become a fan of these guys through your channel, they're such a multi-talented group. I love every b-side on this album, my favourite track seems to switch all the time. Right now it's probably Call My Name, something about that chorus and the No Diggity sample really gets me. The Game is really something special though, such a fantastic, unique track.

KS

I can't pick a favorite because I feel like it would change with my mood...but overall, the album is fantastic!

The Game is really THAT song. My own personal ranking for their album 1. The Game / One Shot 2. Call My Name 3. Bad 4. Sparkling Night / Feelin Like This album is everything 😩 Jinho said in a recent interview that one thing about their group is that they all really really love music and it shows. The quality of each track in this album is absolutely top tier. Following them has really been such an exciting journey seeing them grow and mature as musicians and artists. One small thing though is that I do hope that cube doesnt take feelin like's success as a cue to start outsourcing their title tracks while Hui is away because the members can obviously make great, if not better, music on their own.

KpopPrince

I had that same thought too. Don't think they'll start outsourcing, but they might want them to do a similar sound next time.

Thank you! Yes this album is soo good, definitely one of my top 3-4 albums of theirs (loll and for Pentagon that's actually amazing since they have so many...) For the b-sides the credits are: One Shot - composed by Wooseok, Shinwon (+ Nathan, honorary ptg member lol), lyrics by Wooseok and Shinwon The Game - composed by Wooseok (+ Nathan, Yunji, Hoho), lyrics by Wooseok Call My Name - composed by Kino (+ Kim Zion, Milano), lyrics by Kino, Wooseok (+ HAEE) Sparkling Night - composed by Kino (+ Roamer Doze), lyrics by Kino, Wooseok BAD - composed by Wooseok (+ Siixk Jun), lyrics by Wooseok (Also Kino, Wooseok and Jinho wrote the lyrics for Feelin' Like) As you can probably tell, Wooseok really had his hands all over this album lol. I was really excited to see another Shinwon track too tho, since the few others he's worked on (Genius, Alien, Just Do it Yo!!...) are all classics and some of my top faves. My favorite weirdly turned out to be BAD, which I was not expecting bc I'm usually not one for ballads, but it's a Wooseok classic and his songs alwayss get me. Nostalgia still lives constantly in the back of my brain... Plus it resonates a bit with my life rn lol so that helps. After that my faves are probably One Shot and the Game, then Sparkling Night. No special video for the Game yet, but It's Live teased that they have another performance coming up and they've already done title track + cover so keep your eyes open... Oh also side note about One Shot- not to get too dark but after their win they went live and shared some fears they had about how much longer they might have been able to continue their activities if this album didn't do well. Then later, Shinwon said that One Shot was his favorite because it is 'their story.' If you look at the lyrics with that knowledge, they might stand out a little more. They certainly did for me :( Anyways thank you again!! I look forward to all your coming PTG reactions :D
