That thumbnail, haha. Nice. I am just as surprised about Xdinary Heroes, was not a fan of 'Happy Death Day', but that 'Impossible' performance was great. I just wanna point out that Young K is also a bassist with superb vocals :p On the whole classic rock sound, yeah I'm with ya there. I can appreciate it, but I don't go looking for that sound myself.

Oh wow omg ngl I thought Yunmin was a guy for a second there until I heard her voice and then i got goosebumps all over. It's so rare to find a frontwoman in kpop, I was like U GO GIRL 😩😭😭 I'm ok w classic rock, it's not my most favourite but her vocals and stage presence was 💥. Thank u to whoever requested Touched. It's always so fun being introduced to new acts :")

KpopPrince

I legit don't even think of Young K as a bassist in my head because he's a vocalist first. You're right though!

Stefan K

Yep same, she pulls off the handsome look very well.

For the SuperBand performance: singers are awesome but the cover isn't something I would listen to every day but will definitely check out the vocalists more. Xdinary Heroes' bassist's voice was killer. The rest I was pretty meh about. I adore N.Flying and Queen...it's a great mix. I love their Queen performance on Sketchbook more. Touched definitely gave me 80s female band vocal moments. Not sure I love all of the songs but she has an amazing voice.

some things about the n.flying medley– i’m preeeetttyyyy sure this video was some sort of promo for the Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) movie, or at least it definitely had something to do with it so hence the 20th Century Fox theme at the beginning and why the video’s titled “Bohemian Rhapsody” medley instead of “Queen” medley, they played some of the songs that were highlighted in the movie they also performed this medley live at Kcon LA 2019, unfortunately there is no official Mnet recording of this performance but man the energy is so palpable even through fancams so i can only imagine what it was like in person. idk what it is but there’s just something about them doing that 20thCF theme on that arena stage that just hits different lol. there was probably a very very small percentage of the audience that was there for n.flying but they got the whole crowd hyped tf up

I selected Human both because I liked the performance (sounds like I'm in the minority, which is per usual) and also because Yoonseong (the guy on keyboards) is my favorite male vocalist on Superband 2. You are definitely going to see more of him. Beks was moving this month, but I think you will see his requests from Superband round 2 soon. I think we've only shown you one co-ed performance so far, but there's more to come. We'll finish up round 2 in February and then move to round 3. You should check out SHINee, especially some live performances of Sherlock and Atlantis. I can't watch any of those without getting angry, because one of the members took his own life at the end of 2017. I still haven't sorted out what I think about that. But they are a special group.

Possibly the only one that got the Xdinary Heroes JEM comparison. Was having a good chuckle at it until I realized that means I am old. Ah well. Happy Death Day has become a guilty pleasure for me, but it was nice to see something that highlights their vocals more. Their group has the same original setup that Day6 had before they lost a member, 2 keyboardists, 2 guitarists, one bassist and one drummer. At least they were smart enough not to include the number of members in the band name, though I don't love the name they ended up with. N. Flying covering Queen is perfection. Heck, N. Flying doing just about anything makes my day. Haven't watched Superband season 2 yet, but I loved the Human performance. I agree that it didn't have a stand-out moment that remains in my memory, but their voices and musical choices captured me. Touched was a welcome surprise. Had not heard of them and will be looking for more from them. Yunmin's charisma is captivating, regardless of the genre of music they're performing. I would love to see her and ONEWE's Yonghoon perform together.

Tbh I don't go out of my way to listen to classic rock style stuff myself, but the first time I saw Touched perform (which was the Sherlock cover) I HAD to know more and fell in love after watching The Dawn Star and looking up more performances from them. Yunmin is just an absolutely killer frontwoman and her voice is IMPECCABLE and I'm a little bit in love with her. And the rest of the band is absolutely nuts on top of that, like these men can play their asses off. They shot up to being one of my ult bands in next to no time flat. If you want other songs like The Dawn Star, check out their songs Regret, Where Am I Going, and Candle. I think you might also like their song Journey, or you'd at least appreciate it!

Really glad I got to see that Xdinary Heroes performance, it was so much more my style than their debut track. Their vocals are fantastic! And N.Flying killed it as usual with that medley, I always absolutely love their covers. I only just found about Touched myself recently through their Sherlock cover, and I absolutely loved it. That mix of jazz and rock styles is 100% my thing, so I'd love to hear more of that kind of music from them. I'm not a big fan of the classic rock style either, but I loved The Dawn Star. And that was the same YOUNHA you spotted who did Dark Cloud by the way! I saw her perform her latest songs Stardust and Oort Cloud on a great New Year's concert that Mdromeda did recently, and she was fantastic. Completely fell in love with her album afterwards too. Definitely recommend checking those performances out!

KpopPrince

Excited that a lot of you are watching all the performances here, even if you didn't know the artist to start with. Makes it feel like we're learning about them together!

Cat R

To be honest, I actually really like Happy Death Day but I do agree that it really didn't show their talent very well but I'm definitely looking forward to what else they'll come out with! There are an endless amount of possibilities with what they can do with the amount of talent they have!

Cami L

This was super cool! I didn't know xheros did impossible, but I love nothing but thieves and they really killed that cover. also! you actually have heard the original sherlock, it was one of the first live shinee stages you watched (it was a different mix of the two songs that make it up in the performance, but it's there and it's real!)

Betakitten

It's ok I did the same with the JEM reference... I was like heh... oh wait I'm old XD

Betakitten

N.Flying have a whole bunch of medleys, a kpop one, an anime one, Michael Jackson... well... just so many! I love their energy on stage so much, it's infectious!! I know you're watching Squid Game and a band I love AnOldMoon did a Fly Me To The Moon/Soundtrack medley and it is EPIC.

Doyoungismyult

Not you calling Happy Death Day a shit song 😩 I loved it. It gets stuck in my head constantly. My pop/punk loving ass can’t get enough of it lol.

KpopPrince

That's good that you like it! It's just reeeaally not for me, even as someone that grew up in THE pop-punk era

Doyoungismyult

Also Xdinary heroes also covered “Drown” by Bring Me the Horizon on Weekly Idol and it was incredible!
