pixy and ace/forestella in one video, my loves. i can't watch this just yet because i just got into work an hour ago, but i'm excited. idk what your thoughts on forestella are from this, but if you're interested i'd definitely be up for submitting some of their stuff as one of my requests later on 👀

Daniela Padilla

yeah WJSN have some of the best vocalist in kpop in my opinion! hope to see more content from them! amazing reaction as always, love your input no matter what the type of content it is. have a nice hollyday!

Steph M

Ah, I don't know why Starship put the names in that order, the WJSN girl in red whose deeper voice you loved is actually Dawon! My bias, and someone's who's basically become a second ult bias for me along with IU. I've watched her covers endless times, her voice is so unique in kpop and I absolutely adore it. And yes, she's the best English speaker in the group so that's why her pronunciation is so good! Yeonjung is the girl who's been standing out to you thus far in WJSN's songs, and she's also absolutely amazing. Dawon doesn't get as much of a chance to show off her vocals in WJSN's songs, so she really doesn't receive a lot of attention for her voice outside of the fandom (one of the most underrated idols out there in my opinion), but I adore her voice so I'm really glad that they chose to showcase both vocalists so well with this medley. Ok, done with my rant now, back to the video 😂

Wheeinthe_moodz

By the way, for WJSN you got the names mixed up. Its actually the reverse. Dawon is the one you thought was Yeonjung mentioned you enjoyed her unique tone a lot more. Dawon also really surprised me here too - I know Yeonjung is an amazing vocalist back in IOI days but its my first time hearing Dawon like this wow

2021-12-29 13:18:53 FUN!!! So 31:02 is NU'EST and 31:43 is ASTRO (so yes, familiar hahah)! Also yup that was ENHYPEN and the "solo artist you don't know" is Brave Girls' Minyoung ;) you should definitely check out some older performances like this one, because indeed the crowd makes it 10 times better, still really enjoyed this though!! Lovely christmas gift. The collab stage of Miracles in December is a personal fave because it features 4 criminally underrated kpop groups & vocalists! When they all start singing in the bridge together my heart just melts and I get goosebumps everytime. Beautifully done. And totally agree, I've said this before, but the one thing that was positive when Jinho was enlisted, was Hongseok being recognised as a main vocal. Because... deserved

they can do acapella but they're a classical crossover group, so like two of their members are trained opera singers, one is a musical actor/pop singer, and the other is a rock vocalist. If nothing else, I could probably send you some of the rock vocalists solo stuff, and you'd probably like that.

KpopPrince

Videos always do this with their naming schemes! It's like they're trying to confuse me

Forestella and SHY joined A.C.E's company BEAT INTERACTIVE this year so this is like a company christmas collab. There's only 3 A.C.E members here because Wow and Donghun enlisted.

Thank you so much for this! I absolutely love your reactions. I hope you're having a great time and an excellent holiday. I really like hwasa's cover and the way it felt a little bit more cozy and homemade than the other performances although all of them were good. By the way I just wanna to mention, in case you didn't know, that Moonbyul recently opened her own YouTube channel "Moonbyul2da" (She is working on it on her own with her personal staff and, as far as we know, it has nothing to do with her company) and she uploaded a new song there as a gift for fans on her birthday. I'll let you the links in case you want to check them out! The channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCFrAB5I66LgzOi15TF4PO6A The new song Chemistry: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0nPNwhycvkg Also, as part of her next album project she did a pre-release single G999 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SA4V3TE4j3c and she is going to drop another one on December 30th

WHAT!! That everglow chorus came out of nowhere, I'm addicted. And mymy was seriously excellent, I'm just in love with swan's singing. She has nailed adding tiny beautiful vibrato to everything. The santa baby cover from solar really murdered some people. She said "fuck the blanket" with that outfit and camera angle tbh, like a badass. And hwasa's is so cute...idk why, but I really feel like she didn't buy the drum set for the video. I don't have evidence, it just looks like something she would own and have around her house :')

2021-12-29 13:18:53 Honestly when you asked about Christmas stuff on Twitter I wasn't sure whether to comment the A.C.E collab because I felt much the same way that it was kind of just "another Christmas song" but the video was fun & Christmasy I figured it was probably good enough to see once at least. I totally agree with Weeekly's Ariana Grande cover though, that mixing was baaad. I guess their company wanted to put a new spin on it but the weird thing is that usually when you do that it's to fit an artist's typical style and that obviously wasn't the goal here because it did not suit the group at all or sound like any of their other music. A very weird choice I think.

"Call me" is such a bop it's actually on repeat with Moonbyul "G999" at the moment! Ngl Solar is a dangerous being she know how to toy with us so easly.

Steph M

Just remembered that I meant to comment on Haseul and Weeekly earlier! - I loved Haseul's medley so much. As someone who got into LOONA while she was on hiatus, I did admittedly feel a little distanced from her at first, but since she came back she very quickly became one of my main bias wreckers and her vlives make me smile so much every time I watch them. In terms of Weeekly, I totally agree with you on the muddy mix for Santa Tell Me. That really disappointed me, although the vocals were great and the video was adorable. I've been starting to get into this group more recently once I realised that they're high up on both my top title track and top b-side lists for 2021. Memories of Summer Rain is a 10/10 masterpiece, so I'd love to see you get to their great albums and to hear your thoughts on that one in particular. And I'm also glad you enjoyed PIXY's Call Me, such a great song. And my Christmas was great by the way, hope you had a good one too!

nva

omg, did you notice that haseul was doing the 'all i want for christmas' choreo that ot11 did in their cover ??? my heart !!!

2021-12-29 13:18:52 Son Hoyoung, A.C.E, and Forestella are all label mates at Beat Interactive. This is their first company collab and it makes me freaking happy. I've loved G.O.D for a long time, and SHY is my bias of that OG group. A.C.E kill it every time, they are such a talented group, and I hope WOW and Donghun can join the rest of the company for a collab when they get out of the military. But, Forestella... Imma brag about my ult-bias group real quick here~ Forestella is a crossover popera group made up of 4 amazing vocalists. ~Minkyu- '90, leader, opera singer, Tenor ~Doohoon- '86, musical actor, pop and r&b vocalist ~Hyungho- '88, rock vocalist, countertenor, saprono ~Woorim- '95, maknae, Bass They were formed through a show called Phantom Singer 2. They debuted together in 2018, and recently signed to Beat Int. in 2021. They are criminally underrated, in my opinion. They have amazing original songs, their covers are outstanding, and they murder live performances like no other. Thank you so much for reacting to them, I'm so happy the A.C.E recommendation brought you to them. I hope you can listen to more from them in the future! <3

Sexy song from mmm... Words don't come easy... on the Melting album.... uuuufff

Martin Schafer

There is a Mamamoo TV episode where Hwasa is playing, what I think is that same drum set, or at least a very similar one. So, yes, I think she just has that around the house.

Martin Schafer

The best example of Purple spreading the rapping around is their cover of SVT's Adore U, which is superb in every way. In addition to Yuki, Chaein, Dosie, Ireh, and even Jieun a little all get rap parts.

randomAlienVisitor

Billlie had a christmas/holiday themed City-Pop comeback called "Snowy Night", they debuted like 1-2 months ago when you were taking a break. Their debut album and Snow Night single are all fantastic.

randomAlienVisitor

i've been loving all of the extra content and videos from groups, it helps get in the Christmas spirit lol

randomAlienVisitor

Everglow did add in extra hearts, but the normal choreo is pretty cute. The kiss/finger heart by Mia and the partner work is in the original song.

randomAlienVisitor

Dia is main dancer and lead vocalist, she also was essentially main rapper as well but their company reshuffled positions before the "Addicted" comeback. They gave her a nerf and limited her to just dance and vocalist lol

Anonymous

I have a suspicion that RBW meant for Dosie to be main/lead rapper when they dropped the debut trailers bc actually prior to that, Yuki rarely rapped in their 365 practice stuff. They hid her rap skill very well until that point. There were only a couple clips of her rapping. Everything else was vocal/dance. Perhaps the trailer and the 2 months between the trailers and MHSAB changed their minds.

2021-12-29 13:18:51 Man, what an excellent ride this was! Highlights for me have got to be Yeonjung and Dawon delivering top-tier vocals (thanks, Steph!), and Solar being her dangerous self. I really like My My a lot too, in a way I'm kind of enjoying it more than Hide & Seek. As you say, it really does have that polished feel to it, and I can't wait to see what they'll do in 2022. Still holding out hope for something in the vein of MHSAB; it's amazing that a pre-debut track has kept such a firm grip on me for so long. Also, can we please get Dosie on AOTM? As for PIXY, it's fun to see Ella break out her CheBul heritage and absolutely nail it. And you can always count on Dia to be excellent at whatever she's doing and that she'll be smoking hot while doing it. Barring any must-see surprises from Idle and Dreamcatcher over the next few weeks, I'll probably request the last two episodes of PIXY TV for January so we can finish that up. 😁 Thumbs up for your New Year's plans by the way, I'm pretty much just gonna do homemade pizza with a bottle of Taittinger and leave it at that.

"Nerf" is a good way to put it, imo. 😂 I'm pretty sure everyone except Sua have expressed an interest in rapping, which seems pretty unusual.

KpopPrince

Was that b-side on their most recent album? Glad you had a great holiday! Mine was very low key but that's kinda how I like it

KpopPrince

Oooh homemade pizza sounds so good though. I've tried it once ages ago and it came out like an oblong monstrosity

Mamun Isahaq

You have got to react to the 2021 special relay dance on the M2 channel they cover some of the best songs and popular songs of the year it's so good hopefully you will check it out

Steph M

It is! And yeah, mine was very low-key too. Mainly just a lot of watching TV and playing board games with the family, but it's been really nice to have the break

Anonymous

I just love Forestella, I have all three album download and I have watch all their stages on Immortal Song 2.

A.C.E Dong Hoon and WOW are on mandatory military duty.

If you want to hear a girl group cover Santa Tell Me without the weird remix, I would recommend checking out Billlie's video. https://youtu.be/utYgBJQyRyg I love Weeekly, but that remix was not it. Billlie has a comeback later this month as well.

Fabien Da Silva

P.S: The WJSN girls that were there are actually musical actresses. And I think you got the girls wrong. Yeonjung is the one singing the Korean songs, and she was a member of IOI. Dawon is the one singing in English, and she is the official English rep of WJSN
