My favorite B-sides from Everglow are 'No Lie', 'Untouchable' and 'Please Please' They're all from different mini albums lol.

I love Everglow's b-sides. Like Dreamcatcher, you get variety but if you bought the album because you like the style of their title tracks, you get to see colours of that on the album too. I think with every release there has been a b-side I liked better than the title track except Bon Bon Chocolat and La Di Da, and in the case of La Di Da I actually thought that all the b-sides were great, the title track was just impossible to dethrone.

Aisha and Onda have some good singing parts in Promise their CF music video. But most of Everglow's music is almost entirely Sihyeon and Mia singing. Mia is the main vocalist and the company says Sihyeon is lead, but she is basically a main vocalist in the amount of lines and screen-time she gets. Mia also usually raps in their songs, often as much as E:U or Aisha.

I like Pirate, but it is lower on my ranking of title tracks. Like you said, I enjoy Pirate more with the MV. my favorite b-sides from previous albums are no good reason, good boy, moon, no lie, don't ask don't tell, and hush. Everglow's LA DI DA, Loona's midnight, and DC's tree of language were my favorite albums in 2020. i love basically every b-side Everglow has put out. their discography is flawless.

my favorite songs of this album Nighty Night, Back Together, and Don't Speak. A lot of their songs are about empowerment

They have a few reality shows, most of them are paid for and done by their company on their youtube channel. I think they do have one with 1theK as well. But yeah they don't get invited to a lot of Korea programs.

I'm still kinda meh on Pirate. The second half of it sounds good, but I think the first half takes the MAXIMUM POWER thing a little too far and it just comes off as a little simple and unrefined as a result. The rest of the album though, good stuff! 😁 Back Together is really sweet and that went straight on my slower playlist, but doesn't quite reach the heights of PLEASE PLEASE (which is beautiful but yet another song with mostly Mia). Don't Speak almost feels like a 1/3 track on steroids imo, which is awesome. Really like that one a lot. Nighty Night is definitely a little weird, but I think it works! Again, I find the second half to be excellent, everything comes together and builds nicely. Company made me say "Egyptian?" out loud. 😂 A lot of well-paced punch to it, but maybe a little repetitive. Overall, I think there's two kinds of girl crush messaging: the "I am strong" type, and the "get out of my face" type. First was very much the former, but this album mostly leans into the latter. While I like these songs, I do hope we get more of the grander, more inspiring sound of First in the future. And yeah, I have no clue what Yuehua is doing promotion-wise. 🤔

Those exact three are my favorites, too. Brilliant tracks. 👍

I also thought that I'd mainly enjoy Pirate as a performance song, so I was surprised when I actually enjoyed it even more listening to it by itself 😅 I feel like it's an unpopular opinion, but I actually enjoy Pirate a lot more than First. Probably because of the great melodies and the early 2010s feel that you mentioned, I just think it's a banger. I've never heard a single Everglow b-side, so I listened to this for the first time along with you and I'm glad I did! Don't Speak might be one of my favourite b-sides I've heard all year, I absolutely love it. My initial ranking would be 1. Don't Speak 2. Back Together 3. Pirate 4. Nighty Night 5. Company Everything was solid though. I always say that I prefer cohesive albums, but this is a great example of a less cohesive album that works really well for me. When all the songs on an album like this are strong and really well-produced, I think there's something so fun about not knowing what's coming next and having the songs hit you in a very different way every time. Really enjoyed it, this was a great release.

Company is top tier for me, and I really love Don't Speak for its quirkiness. But my personal favorite Everglow bsides are from Last Melody: Don't Ask, Don't Tell and Please Please. You should check them out.
