Thank you so much to the people who recommended these specific videos they are some of my favourite! I love seeing you discover SHINee! There is no video for stranger, it was one of their bsides! Jonghyun is amazing, my SHINee bias. There leader is Onew. SHINee's lives are the best!

Thank you so much & I'm glad that you liked these performances. Yeah, the first video was part of the concert into and it's so wild, one of my fav concerts intros. Onew is the leader but most who don't know them much & just getting into them mistake it that Jonghyun is the leader because he really stands out in concerts (good at hyping the crowd) & in center. fun fact Jonghyun before he was an idol he was in a band with his school friends and he plays the bass guitar and played it at his solo concerts

Yeah it's actually live. Don't want to compare the groups, but I know you watched dreamcatcher Crossroads Concert. Don't know if you got a live + VOD ticket. If you did, you can compare that a little in the live stream they sounded good but there was also some more noise from the instruments and more breathing and other stuff you could hear during that live stream. But if you listend to the VOD, the sound, the mixing and mastering was so much better and smoother and the vocals also sounded better, but to a point were you could think, no those aren't live anymore. I think that's also what's happened here. Through the post production shinee sounds so good you can't believe it's live but it is xD

Yup was also surprised what a big difference there was. Especially on the Utopia version, bc on the first day the instruments were kinda loud and the mics a little low (volume wise), so now in the VOD version it's sounds so much better 😁

If you want to see Shinee live with no post-processing magic, I'd recommend another performance of Sherlock, this time at the 2013 Golden Disc Awards. It's an even longer remix than the one you just watched. The show was outdoors in Kuala Lumpur, it was super hot and humid. You can see Shinee dripping sweat, and obviously exhausted, yet somehow they bring the energy and kill the live vocals. There is very little backing track (and you can hear the difference when it's there or isn't) and since it was broadcast live, no post processing. Jonghyun is beyond amazing he is my favorite male vocalist in kpop, his tone is so unique and since debut and his stage presence + his vocals have been stable and just outstanding. And yeah it is live, they have live albums for their concerts too.

Yes it's all live. You'll know immediately when SHINee is lipsyncing because they're HORRIBLE at it - like to the point that they sing live during Studio Choom & MV shoots to make it look natural lol Before debuting they had to intensely train to up their stamina because SM wanted them to sing live without MR on their debut stage while having a full choreography so they're literally built different
