So glad you checked out both of these also, they were a must-see! When I first got into SVT, I didn't gravitate to Hoshi as much. I was looking up lives of Woozi's stuff and came across the upload of the concert DVD video of "Bring It", which is a duet Hoshi and Woozi did. And oh, how that gave me new appreciation for Hoshi as a performer! Anyway, appreciate all of your hard work, take care of yourself!

yes he was singing live if you notice the back up vocals is or whatever they call it is so faint so when he is not singing you will notice,, he even change the tone before the bending part. Gosh thank you for reacting to MCountdown's perf!!!

So yeah, I joined just to see this reaction lol. My love for HOSHI and the whole SEVENTEEN is like that... Thank you for checking these two stages out. Yes, Hoshi was singing live on MCountdown. He claimed before that he always sings live btw so we have no doubts with it. Even with the one in Studio Choom, I'm sure he was belting out the song (you could see his perfect mouthing of the lyrics) even if we can't hear it on the actual vid... I'm sorry if I'd really agree that 'yes, pls feel bad for not noticing him before' xD But that's just mean you'd have to check more of their live performances. Maybe some of their stages from 2019 & 2020 year-end shows? Since you love perfs with great vocals, you can try SEVENTEEN's perfs on Immortal Songs. They went there thrice.

And also, you seem to have it misunderstood. The Performance Unit focuses on the full performance, so mainly on choreography but including everything about the group's stages. That doesn't mean they were just dancers. So basically, Hoshi aside from being the main dancer, he is also a lead vocalist and sub-rapper. Basically an all-rounder artist that's why a lot of younger gen idols look up to him as their fave idol sunbae. The8 is a sub-vocalist & sub-rapper, Dino is a sub-rapper and Jun is a sub-vocalist... You only notices some of the members on MVs and you haven't heard of unit songs as well so I understand you haven't fully learn the group's dynamics.

also that drop IDK what you call it where he drop and put his weight on the dancer like that bend,, he actually did that pre-debut haha,, it is a bliss to watch pre-debut SVT actually,, if you want to get familiar with them ,, because you would see how much him and Woozi like to use imagery and hand movements for choreos. Yes, Woozi used to train the members with Hoshi until they decided to put Woozi to vocal group because he had shown his composing skills.

After having these performances and his song on repeat ever since it came out, I can safely say that this is my song of the year so far. Also, pretty sure it was TOO who did the move you're talking about for their Rising Sun performance!
