In terms of Hui proteges, Kino and Wooseok also produce a butt load of songs. Kino produced their digital single "Eternal Flame" that dropped in December, definitely a top 3 Pentagon song for me. Cube drills their idols in music production so I think all these dudes know their way around a recording studio.

I’m not sure what all of their pins mean, but I do know that Yanan wears two bunnies on his jacket to represent Hui and Jinho. Also Kino and Wooseok have been producing B sides and solo songs for years, and Yuto helped produce (G)I-dle’s song “I’m the trend”. So glad you’re looking more into them, Cube ent really do have some of the most talented artists 😊

KpopPrince

Which is hilarious because they're so mismanaged! Further proving they've been handed gold and fumble it down the drain.

Thank you so much for reacting to these videos. As mentioned, many Pentagon members know how to make a song and write lyrics. After Hui, the ones who do it the most are Kino and Wooseok. But other members such as Yuto (he has a soundcloud) and Yeo One (there are several original songs on Pentagon's Youtube Channel) can also do it. BY the way, the guy you noticed is Yeo One! Maybe you could watch a guide (and react to it) if you haven't seen one already : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xti17ozN6XQ&t=971s

I was not expecting this but so pleasantly surprised!! Yeah Yeoone and Wooseok (the rapper on the left who did the itzyyyy's) absolutely stole the show for me on that cover! Pronounce Yeoone as yo-one! That's Hongseok taking over the high notes!! And like many others said, Kino and Wooseok are the main producers in the group now I'd say. Wooseok always has a big share in writing credits as well, so they'll totally crush it without Hui, I'm sure :) Kino covering a song by himself meant for 7 guys is just incredible in itself. Mind you, he's officially their main dancer and a sub-vocal. YES. A SUB-vocal. The amount of talent this group has for them to call Kino a sub-vocal. It's a crime though to call him that let's be real. There was one more performance by their rapline, an original song. If you wanna watch it in your own time that's fine as well! But it's the cutest thing ever and I love them so much. Also I'd watch any and all performances from this show! I think I've seen all of them. ONF's Beautiful Beautiful and 'eight' cover were phenomenal! But you'd maybe have to listen to/react to Beautiful Beautiful first ;)

claireisuche

To add to what everyone said. Knowing Hui work ethic, he might have planned thier next releases with them before leaving. I definitely see him doing that

wowoooowow

Yeees, I love It's Live and the PENTAGON Week was amazing! There was also another performance, with Yuto and Wooseok doing one of their own song (is v short but it's really good https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfkqTbf5czKoy7czLi0xojw/videos). Most of them are into rock, yes, at different levels. But def PENTAGON should go full hard rock next comeback, it suits them so well, especially Wooseok (tall silver hair), Yeone (bday boy) and Shinwon (glasses) - and Jinho and Hui ahhh. I also agree that they feel more mature - I think probably for all that happened to them but also because some members are older (age goes from 29 to 23), the topics they talk about are relatable for me like uncertainty in life, overcoming hurdles, things not working out, breakups and in this song general assholes playing with you. Wooseok and KINO as everyone mentioned do also a lot of producing, KINO mostly with another producer and Wooseok has been a lot more involved lately (he was already, but for this comeback he co-wrote and co-produced all songs with Hui minus KINO song and Hui solo in the latest album) Hui apparently also left things behind. Shinwon (glasses) mentioned he was still working after shaving his head to leave for the military (and I think he shaved like 1 or 2 days before so yeah). I love this series, they have a great band and the set just looks amazing! I would definitely rec ONF and ACE sessions, they did great and they have amazing vocals! Also, did I miss the Lovesick video? How? I can't see it in your channel? I can be dumb.

KpopPrince

Haha no you're not, I did Lovesick directly before this for the regular channel and just haven't posted it yet! When working with music you totally jump from unfinished project to unfinished project when inspiration strikes so Hui definitely left a lot of remnants behind like you and others said. A truly great leader!

wowoooowow

Ohhh, ok makes sense, I tend to miss things right in front of my nose sometimes, so just thought I was being dense as usual. He is, bless him, I honestly thing one of the main reason that PENTAGON is still going is Hui leadership and behind the scene work on music. He even encouraged Soyeon to start self-producing for (G)I-DLE to ensure their future (pretty sure you noticed CUBE is not great).

Cindi Harbison

You missed one performance which was the unit performance by Wooseok & Yuto called Repeat:II. this week they did 4 songs (comeback song do or not, solo cover by Kino of BTS' Life Goes On, unit original song by WooYu (Wooseok & Yuto) called Repeat:II & group cover of Itzy's Not Shy). Also, Cube’s training program has the trainees train for everything in the entertainment industry (in front of camera and behind camera such as acting, producing, songwriting, composing, and much more), it’s just too bad that after an amazing training program, their management and promotion for groups suck so much! I would love for you to check out their senior group BTOB (I recommend live stages); they are also a self-composing, self-producing group with a fantastic discography (they debuted in 2012 - half the members have completed their military service and the other half is serving currently). BTOB (subunit called BTOB4U) had a comeback in November called Show Your Love and are participating in the reality show Kingdom (the sequel to Road to Kingdom). Please consider reacting to their performances as well.

hi_k99

YOU HAVE TO react to JAMIE and GAHO's 'Baby it's cold outside' on ITS KPOP LIVE, its the BESTESTESTEST!!!! ull be blown!!! and i'm sure YOUNG K did something there for christmas too!

hayun lee

pentagon are actually well known to be immensely close! one of the members, shinwon, has said before that he didn't have any interest in being a singer at first and was planning on just joining the idol training system as a fun life experience after being scouted, but eventually he got attached to the members and his dream became to debut with them and thats when he started taking training really seriously. theyre definitely one of the closest idol groups ive ever seen and its really cute! also yes the one you pointed out, yeo one, used to be the lead singer in a band predebut! and as mentioned hui has left a lot of songs for them but iirc every single member has produced and composed songs before except for hongseok who has since taken on the role of the main vocalist after jinho (and now hui) left! kino esp has produced a lot of their bsides and wooseok has cowrote + co-composed a lot of huis hits as well as songs for other artists, so im not worried

Lol this reaction is why I joined your patreon because I was so hyped to you see you react to this. Please also watch "Wooseok & Yuto Repeat:II" it's also a performance on It's Liv and its their own written song! Thank you for reacting to Pentagon!

C. M.

This is one of the things that made me join - I've wanted to since you told me on YT that you'd just reacted to Not Shy (I was the one who suggested it the minute it was out!) but I couldn't justify spending the money at the time, hahaha I actually like Wooseokie's outfit, mustard and brown and all that - Shinwon's magician outfit is the one that makes me crazy! Kino's cover is one of my favorite covers of all time tbh. Everyone else already told you everything I had to say, including that you missed the Dodoripiyo performance from Wooseok and Yuto :D

Meggy

can i just say i really enjoy watching your reactions. i hope c*be makes bandtagon a thing, or at least for their next comeback :( they absolutely killed that not shy cover. and to think that their main vocals werent even around ???
