LMM is just too powerful. To be honest, I didn't really love this EP, even tho I'm a big fan of the intro, and Maria has really grown on me over time (and LMM is literally a masterpiece), I'm kind of meh about I'm bad too and Kidding. (IMO they totally break the album's atmosphere and mood, and not because they are more fun or experimental, it's simply they are not connected - but maybe that was what they were going for? Like not every part of our personality is polished and of course we don't have to be serious all the time? Maybe it's more complex this way? But as a simple listener, I didn't like their placement at all. I liked Why however your analogy really made me think, and made me see it in a brand new light. So thank you for making me love it more! Moonbyul has a mini (with a repackage) called Dark Side of the Moon, with the title track Eclipse (+ Absence from the repackage). It's from 2020. And Solar has a compilation album consisting of her remakes of old classic Korean songs, called Solar Gamsung (every track has its own little music video as well), and she was the first member to have a solo concert after this project. And yeah, we are predicting that Wheein must be next after Purple Kiss.

I think I feel pretty similarly. One of those situations where you get hyped up about it because I heard so many good things and I guess it was a little disappointing overall. LMM is still perfection though! I sometimes struggle to say I dislike a song that comes from an artist I love. So my feelings might have sounded contradictory in the video.

Really enjoyed this reaction, I definitely relate to your thoughts about this album. While I love Maria, LMM, Why, and the intro, I'm Bad Too and Kidding are honestly songs that I don't come back to very often. I know that a lot of people absolutely love them, but they just don't do much for me in a musical sense. I do really respect the entire project though, because of the way the lyrics address topics like mental health and online hate (it wasn't clear in these lyric videos, but online hate is a topic that I think Kidding and I'm Bad Too definitely touch on). That kind of vulnerability is something that we absolutely don't see in kpop very often, so I really appreciate hearing it from Hwasa in this album.

I'm not gen z, but I do love the Kidding track lol. I think I'm a sucker for concept albums as a whole, it's just so satisfying to see the care that goes into thematically putting such unique songs together. Moonbuyl's album does a lot of exploring of style and theme too, less to my taste but still an amazing album that's unexpected.

You could sink up a lyric video and spotify (rip or something else). Mute the lyric video, and play the music on the streaming platform. So you get the good quality, but also lyrics.

When I first listened to this album Kidding was easily my favorite. I think it’s because it’s such a different side of her and that type of beat and attitude fits her so well

Honestly not a bad idea. But I'm pretty sure I tried listening to the album today and it wouldn't play! Think it was part of the whole Kakao M thing

Qwarky

Yeah Mamamoo ) is heavely impacted by this Kakao M Shit. More thna half of their albums are gone and every of their solo

Moonbyul had a whole album Dark Side of the Moon. While Solar only has the original single, she did do an entire album of covers of Korean songs that were meaningful to her. It's called Solar's Emotions and there are videos for all of them.
