There was another NCT performance here lol NCT Dream - Ridin was after Turn Back Time. And WayV actually performed at MAMA last year! In 2019. They were actually the only SM artist there at all. No other NCT units performed either and WayV won best new Asian artist award there, so they’re definitely still in the spotlight, but you’re right that they don’t always get the same amount of attention as the other units. That’s mainly because of a mixture of different factors. One, SM is a horrible company who poorly manages and promotes their groups and they pretty much refused to make a clear statement all of 2019 (WayVs debut year) as to whether or not WayV was actually apart of NCT. Even though most fans KNEW they were, the lack of clarity plus SM mainly trying to push them in CHINA, not Korea, meant most kpop fans didn’t see much of WayV and so they didn’t immediately grow a huge Korean fan base, mainly a Chinese one. Two, there are issues within the fandom because of the lack of clarity for if WayV was also NCT. Until the NCT 2020 announcement there was a large amount of wayv fans who considered themselves “separatists” who denied WayVs connection to NCT (despite 3/7 already being in other units) and didn’t actually want SM to confirm it so that WayV could be their own group and get better promotion. So they essentially did a lot of gatekeeping of the fandom which prevented lots of nct fans from exploring wayv too. Three, lots of kpop fans are thrown off by the idea of supporting non-kpop groups. Because WayV were, and are, primarily noted as a CPOP group and not kpop, lots of people in the community wouldn’t acknowledge them because they weren’t actually a Korean group. And again, SM marketed them primarily in China so that’s where all their interviews, performances, variety shows, and reality shows were filmed and promoted. But things are looking up for WayV as SM has shifted them more into the Korean spotlight also. Hopefully in the future we can see even more recognition for WayV. Honestly, each group has an area where they shine more. Like NCT Dream is definitely actually the more recognized group in Korea domestically. The Dream boys are on so many variety shows, talk shows, they do volunteer work and attend fundraiser and government events, etc. 127 is more know internationally like in the West. And WayV is huge in China.

Pink haired TXT man is Yeonjun! And yes, he is iconic. Definitely try checking out more of them, in my opinion, Blue Hour is their (for lack of better words) worst title track. It's great and I enjoy it, but not on par with their other title tracks if you ask me! The GOT7 dude you kept pointing out with a very accurate "THAT is a man" is Jackson hahahaha The iconic performance that is Black Swan on the MMA's, I was in awe when I first saw it. The MMA's are a different award show though, the MMA's were 1 day before the MAMA's, but I don't think anyone will complain that you reacted to that performance ;) Also in ON, that was j-hope rapping when you pointed out Suga. Suga wasn't there and his verse after j-hope was left empty (with Suga's voice kind of in the background). And BTS' vocals are in fact live! I know, sometimes it's hard to believe but they are that good. Obviously with a backing track, but you can always hear them very clearly live. I think the only time I've ever noticed they weren't singing live was for a special christmas performance one year ago.

Kun was the one who did that pre-chorus part in Turn Back Time that you asked about. And yes, you need to see Love Talk, soooooo sentimental. ;) As someone mentioned, Yeonjun had the pink hair in TXT, and yes he is kind of a golden child. They have some of the most creative pieces of choreography, very good dancers. They do manage "fun" well, without being too cute. Their original underlying story is kinda dark, despite seeming just young and bright at first. "Can't You See Me" and "Puma" are recent ones that I am personally fond of. BTS has another video of "Black Swan" - the Art Film - that is where the orchestral version you hear in this performance comes from. It doesn't have BTS in it though, as it features a dance group. It's quite something.

I completely agree about Blue Hour! It's great, but I do prefer pretty much all of their other title tracks over it.

Are you going to be watching NCT Dream's performance at MAMA?

Sorry for asking here. Will you react to DAY6 full album sometime in the future?

BTS actually do the vast majority of their vocals live. Even at award shows. If you want to see an award show performance, look up their MMA 2019 performance. It was 30 minutes long and was epic.
