Crocodylomorphs basic cladogram (Patreon)

As a follow-up to the previous post, here's the cladogram just produced for the new edition of Don Prothero's Evolution - it will likely also appear in The Big Book (where there will also be several other cladograms showing competing topologies). The branching pattern shown here follows those studies where thalattosuchians are early-diverging members of the clade, not neosuchians.

A huge amount of research and time went into the reconstructions shown here and some are more rigorous than others. I'll talk about them more as I upload modified versions of the crocodylomorphs done so far - as discussed previously I will be updating them in view of the need to now include 'coloured' (albeit still b&w) versions.

One more thing on these crocodylomorphs before I go - Jeff Martz produced a coloured version of my croc montage which we intend to sell as a poster. All I need to do ('all') is produce the text for it. I haven't found time for that yet, but once I do it'll be done and made available.
