The next TetZoo article -- coming later today -- is on predation in armadillos, and I thought I'd have some fun and so some semi-serious scenes of predation. Believe it or not, Six-banded armadillos have been recorded attacking brocket deer, rheas, domestic sheep and cattle (albeit always juveniles of these species). I needed images, so had to create one myself.. and thus we have this.

The poses of the armadillo and deer were devised by looking at lots of photos (in reality, an attacking armadillo wouldn't adopt such a dynamic pose). The background was added digitally. I hope you enjoy this scene :) I still need to do one showing an armadillo digging up a grave, stay tuned!

Thanks as ever for your support!
