I've done a few more rails (though read on), three of which have been added to the montage that's growing here. New here is the takahe (between the moorhen and Aphanapteryx on the far left), the Grey-necked wood rail Aramides cajanea at middle far right (the mostly plain-plumage rail with the longish bill), and a Sarothrura flufftail. Ok -- flufftails aren't really rails at all, molecular studies (and more morphological ones too) show them to be close to finfoots, and outside of Rallidae proper.

I haven't tidied this drawings properly because I haven't had time. There are also a bunch of other rails I've drawn that have yet to be added to the montage, and then there are other taxa that I've drawn but have yet to scan. I'm really struggling with time at the moment - have taken on too much work (for the usual reasons of needing it to cover costs.... sigh) - and haven't been able to touch the textbook for weeks. Anyway...
