I've been very excited for the whole week to see this finished Samus piece! I really loved the WIP and now it is just wonderful to see the completed painting 😻😻😻😻😻 These colours are just absolutely gorgeous, it's a summer painting but it feels so nice and cool thanks to the blue sky and water, with some nice green tones mixed in too. Samus herself appears both warm and cool with a mix of colours in her skin tones that look beautiful and vibrant too. The actual rendering is just lovely and starting with the hair, there's this gorgeous shine to it that I really like. The shine is accentuated by those lovely white edge-lights that also contrast with the hair colour while also making the details pop even more. And the actual colour looks lovely, it's a warm blonde and there also appears to be this cool blue-green tint to it in places which is a great contrast. The smooth transition in colour is very nice too, with that cool tint being at the top of the hair, then growing warmer and more sunlit down at the tips of the long strands. Funnily, I can actually be quite brief when talking about her clothes as there's not much here 😉😹💙 I really like the actual blue colours, both the light and dark tones. The patterns look nice and conform well to the shapes of Samus' breasts, as well as on her panties as they bend. I really like the textures of the material, especially the tight folds and crinkles on the bra. The lighting on the bikini is also gorgeous with a warm light hitting the blue, that then smoothly blends down into the cooler shadows, just giving this great contrast in tone. And as for Samus' body, well as I said, the colours here are just beautiful. I really love the subtle cool tones mixed into her overall warm skin colour, some notable examples here are along her raised fore-arm, her ribs, lower stomach and on her left hip and thigh. But then you also have some warm light shining onto her too, like on her right thigh and along her lower arm, giving her a subtle radiant glow that goes really well with the other cooler skin tones. The bright edge-lights on her neck, shoulders, arm, waist+hip and thigh also make her really pop too and accentuate the shapes of her body so well. And I am just in love with the smooth skin textures that you've given her and just how well you've rendered her anatomy. Her whole mid-section is absolutely beautiful, as are her voluptuous thighs Her hand looks great as well with the ripples in the palm and how the fingers bend. I also really like the area of her raised elbow, the subtle gradients of colour there and plane changes all look terrific. Lastly, her face is just beautiful too! Those shining pale-blue eyes are utterly captivating. The mix of warm reds and the subtle cool tones in her skin are lovely and they really make the warmer tones of her nose and lips pop. I also love the shine on her lips, there's a lot of terrific little details on her lips, with cool colours mixed in and some warm bounce lighting. The textures, subtle shine and dark tones for her eye-lids are also great too and I really do just love her nose. Absolutely wonderful work on this piece, Didi! I will definitely be using Samus for my wallpaper, she is just so beautifully painted! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 All of the biggest, coolest hugs in the whole world! Waaa Oh! This really excites me a lot, wiii reading your comment I can jump for joy, your words are the best, thank you very much Ciarán. You always surprise me with all the details you see. When I was giving atmospheric color to the character, those curious dyes were left in the hair like green, it was not intentional but it looks good haha a nice coincidence, but it is obvious that it happens because the atmospheric color that I gave it is blue and it combines with the yellow of their hair. Thanks Ciarán for your kind words, they always excite me a lot.
