As with Yoko, I unfortunately missed your livestream of this painting, so I was very, very excited to see the leap from the WIP all the way to the finished painting. And just like with Yoko, I love it! 😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻 You already know one thing I will immediately be in love with and that is all of the purple colouring! The purple tinting to her hair, skirt and tights just look wonderful and I really like the lighting on them and how you tint the colours (but I'll get to that later 😉) The background colours are very nice too with soft colours, with the warmer tones contrasting well with the pale blue sky, with the colours for Filia herself really popping out. The warm skin tones of her face and butt/thighs are very distinct when framed by her purple hair, skirt and tights, with her white shirt also popping against the darker colours. I also like her warm brown boot as well being pressed up against the cool purple skirt. The rendering and lighting are just gorgeous in this piece and starting with her hair, I will say that Samson's warm bone-coloured teeth and his orange eye do contrast well with the cool colours of the hair and sky and I like the texture and contrasting light and shadow on the teeth. The hair itself is all wonderfully detailed and my favourite part might actually be on her fringe, as well as that large strand that curls in over her face. The dark black/purple has a gorgeous shine, with the bright blue edge-lighting starkly contrasting with those colours and adding a tonne of detail. The strand curling over her cheek also receives some lovely warm tones on its underside too to contrast with itself and the blue lighting. The large, sweeping spikes of hair curling around Filia are equally gorgeous with their colours, with a mix of soft purples and pale blues tinting them and lighting them. The detail is excellent too as is how they twist and fold over themselves. With the hair spike that comes out from behind her lower back, I just love the shadows that cut through the darker part of it, defining so many strands of hair. Her clothes are very nice too, I really like the soft textures of her white shirt. The lighting also has a wonderful contrast with most of it being in shadow, so the light that runs down her lower arm, as well as highlighting her breast look very distinct. I also like the subtle hints of pinkish bounce lighting on her lower arm and underside of her breast, adding some vibrancy to the grey shadows and accentuating the shapes there. The twisting, overlapping folds on her lower sleeve also look great with the mix of soft tones and hard edges there and i also like the subtly shiny textures of her sleeve cuffs. Likewise, that subtly shiny, painterly texture of her skirt looks gorgeous too and I like how it gives the sections of material this crinkly feeling, again with a mix of soft rendering and hard edges. The colours of her stockings are lovely too, I like how her raised leg is more softly rendered with blue tones blending into the purple, while the other leg has sharper, bright purple lighting that cuts into the shadows, defining where the thigh and calf lock into each other. And lastly, the warm brown of the boot is just really nice, I like it's soft textures, the plane changes and the subtle shine where her toes would be, accentuating the corner that would be there. The sections of skin and anatomy that we do see look lovely too, with the mix of colours for her thighs. Her upper thigh having this soft, pale-blue lighting between warmer shadows, while the lower thigh contrasts well with it's warmer tones. The hands are similar with the lower hand having those pale, smooth blue tones mixed in, with the other hand having a more striking contrast between light and shadow. The rendering on the upper hand is especially nice with the thumb and index finger popping against the darker fingers and palm. And lastly overall, her face is just wonderful! 💜💜💜💜💜 I really like the contrast in tone and colour with her face left mostly in shadow, with only these vibrant, warm dashes of sunlight on her ear, jaw and neck, also causing a warm glow to spread across her neck and jaw. The shadows that her hair casts onto the face look very nice and show that overlap, same with the shadow that her nose casts towards her eye. I love the tones of the tip of her nose and lips, as well as the subtle shines on both of them, showing the corner of her nose, and the small shine of her lip. The red eyes look great too and I just adore her overall expression. There's also something so soft and painterly about how you've painted Filia's face, I don't know how to describe it but I am just in love with it! Absolutely wonderful work on this piece, Didi! Your Filia is super cute, sexy, dynamic and the colours are just gorgeous!
