This could be on a Marvel cover. Beautiful work!

Oooooh, I missed out on the first half of your livestream so I was extra interested in seeing the final painting since I missed so much of the process πŸ˜… Unsurprisingly, the finished result is just gorgeous! I love the overall cool colour tones, with Gwen's warm hair and skin feeling distinct against the cool blue sky, green jacket, purple skirt and black vest. I also really love how the blue lighting affects her clothes, tinting the edges of the green, black and purple materials while also giving them this lovely glow. My favourite part is at her waist, where the black vest receives some cool, soft edge-lighting while popping against the blue-tinted shadows on the green jacket behind it. The rendering on everything is just terrific and it all benefits from the very clear divide in lighting, as the light bathes her from her left side and casts shadows on the opposite planes. Her face is a clear example of this, with her left side coated in a soft, warm light, while the rest behind her nose rests in shadow. Her features are beautifully painted with a lovely texture and I really like the thin, warm edge-lighting running down her darker cheek, making it pop against the shadows on the hair and adding a nice contrast to the darker tones. Her pink cheeks and nose are also so cute and those crystal blue eyes just pop so nicely and are so captivating! πŸ’™πŸ’™ (Luscious dark lips too of course πŸ˜‰) I really like how you've painted the hair, with much of it collected into large, long shapes that elegantly flow. The other benefit of bundling the hair into these wider strands is that you also get that clear divide in light and shadow, giving the hair a great sense of shape, defining the plane changes and being able to really accentuate how it twists. And of course the hair still has a great deal of detail with smaller shadows and lines of light cutting through, along with a lovely shine to give it all a great sense of texture. And while I was praising the way her clothes are tinted blue earlier, I forgot to mention the great detail of how the ends of her hair are tinted blue as they flow back and fade into the background. I really like how you've painted the jacket too, one of my favourite things are those thin, shining lines that zig-zag down her left arm, while also appearing on the folds below her lower arm. Those lines really give the jacket it's shining texture and they accentuate the folds very well, especially the lower folds which are softer and more subtle. I think you did a great job in having a mixture of more defined, creasing folds like on her arms where they're bending, as well as softer, more smooth folds like below the lower arm. And of course all of them are really well rendered and rippling! I do have to point out that it looks like there might be a mistake on the raised sleeve though. Some of the jacket sleeve on the wrist looks like it's been suddenly cut away or erased with a hard-edged eraser. Also there's a part of the purple skirt that looks a little strange to me. The material sinks between her thighs and is very textured but then suddenly rises up into these sharp folds on the bottom that look like they might be overlapping them. But I'm not sure. But I do overall like the skirt! It does have a nice texture, with my favourite part being that area of light that zig-zags down her left thigh and the way it blends into the surrounding tones gives it all a nice shine. I also like the strong contrast in tones on her right thigh, with the core shadow dividing the light and dark also having this blue tint to it. Her black vest is just wonderful! I love how it clings to her body and we're able to see the shapes of her mid-section through it, which look gorgeous thanks to the clear divide in light and dark. I also love that the lighter sections look nice and warm, contrasting well with the darker shadows and the cool blue tinting. The folds running between her breasts are nice and soft and I also like the sharper, deeper creases down below, just above the skirt. Something else I love is the blue tinting on the lower planes of her breasts, further accentuating their shapes and adding more contrasting tones. And lastly, the areas of her skin that we do see all look great! I really like the lighting on her upper hand, shadows on the tops of the fingers, light on the lower half, shadow on the hand itself, light on the wrist, creating this nice, alternating contrast. And the area of light on the other hand really pops against the shadows and I really like how the base of the thumb overlaps the palm. And of course, her thighs just look gorgeous! I like that the contrast in light and dark is softer here, making the texture of the skin look so very smooth and appealing. But the contrast is still strong enough to clearly define the planes, while the thin shadow running between the thighs shows the overlap between them very well. (Oh and I really like the hair-band too and the subtly shining blue lighting mixed into the warm brown) Overall, really beautiful work on this painting, Didi! The lighting and colours are just gorgeous, so vibrant with really well done contrasts, great use of texture and really well defined forms. And Gwen's face is just beautiful! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ All of the biggest, warmest, spidery hugs in the whole world! πŸ˜»πŸ˜½πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ˜½πŸ˜½πŸ˜½πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ˜½πŸ˜½πŸ˜½πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ˜½πŸ˜»πŸ˜»πŸ˜½πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ˜½πŸ˜½πŸ˜½πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ˜½πŸ˜½πŸ˜½πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ˜½πŸ˜»πŸ˜»πŸ˜½πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ˜½πŸ˜½πŸ˜½πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ˜½πŸ˜½πŸ˜½πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ˜½πŸ˜»πŸ˜»πŸ˜½πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ˜½πŸ˜½πŸ˜½πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ˜½πŸ˜½πŸ˜½πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ˜½πŸ˜»πŸ˜»πŸ˜½πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ˜½πŸ˜½πŸ˜½πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ˜½πŸ˜½πŸ˜½πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ˜½πŸ˜»
