During your livestream for Nina, when you said that you were going to post Wonder Woman on Monday, I was very excited and now looking at this finished painting... I was very right to be excited! 😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻 Firstly, I see that you've changed WW's face to make it look more like Gal Gadot herself. I already really liked the more stylised face that you had, however, this more realistic Gal Gadot face is equally gorgeous and mesmerising! 💜💜💜💜💜 And secondly, I really like the background, the night sky being lit up by warm pinkish colours is lovely and really pops. I also assume that it's a reference to the movie when Diana and Steve are flying through the fireworks 😸 And the rendering in this piece is absolutely exquisite! Something I am immediately drawn to is Diana's hair, the level of detail here is fantastic and I love the rippling feel it has as so many strands gather together in a waving motion, draped over her shoulders and also overlapping itself. The dark chocolate brown colour is wonderful too, especially with the bright edge-lighting that adds a strong contrast. I also like that you used two different coloured edge-lights on both sides. Also, Diana's face looks so distinct with the lighter skin tones framed by the dark hair, when I look at this painting, my eye quickly moves to her beautiful face thanks to the colour contrasts. The golden armour across her entire body looks fantastic too. I adore the bright, warm golden shine and all of the detail throughout. The contrast of bright and dark tones really pops, the thin occlusion shadows and thin lights where there are grooves cut into the metal look fantastic and really show the depth of the grooves. I also love the thin edges or lips on pieces of the armour, like on her overlapping shoulders, around her wrists and on the tops of her thigh-high greaves that show off the plane changes of the metal and act as extra highlights. The armour around the breasts looks terrific too with the shining, contrasting textures/lighting while also having beautiful smooth rendering. And across Diana's whole body, having the metal cast shadows onto her skin also makes it pop very nicely and show how it overlaps her body, I particularly like the bird design between her breasts and the shadows it casts that wrap over the breasts, accentuating their shapes even more. Also the design that you've used with the tops of her breasts exposed looks so sensual as her breasts expand out from her chest, framed by metal on all sides and looking very distinct. The blue tinting/edge-lighting on her right arm and wrist is also a nice feature that contrasts with the gold. Oh there is so, so, so much to say about the armour, you really did a terrific job and I just love how it all looks and all of the detail! Diana's hips and thighs with the transparent material covering them also look beautifully rendered. I love the dark shadows on the outsides of the hips, they define the plane changes from the front of her body so well and I love how those dark shadows look cutting through the surrounding lighter "skin" tones. Likewise, the thinner shadows that separate her thighs from her hips also look lovely, as does how smooth her legs look with the soft blending of larger light tones into the darker edges. And then there's that face! 😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻 Oh the skin textures look so perfect with beautiful rosy-red cheeks and painterly brush strokes defining the areas around her eyes and the nose, I love the definition and darker tones for the eye-lids/eye-sockets. Her dark grey irises with their bright shines are so captivating and pop nicely against her warm skin tones. While her lips with their textured, smooth and shiny red colours just look so luscious too and I really like the corners of her mouth and how they're connected to the cheeks. I think that this is definitely among my all time favourite faces that you've ever painted, Didi! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 Suffice to say, I absolutely adore this painting! Excellent artwork Didi. Vastly superior to the flop movie. Ah well, not everything can be great I guess. I gotta say she looks killer in this armor. I havn't seen rest of the works, I'm pretty sure they're as awesome as this one.
