Love the pose here Didi. The iconic finger gun is great. You did some excellent variations as well. I love seeing you paint some of Blizzards other characters from games other than Overwatch (though I do love those Overwatch characters as well ;-) ). Big yeti hugs for you Didi! Oh I absolutely adored watching you paint Nova during your livestream and now it is an absolute pleasure to see the finished painting 😊😍😍😍😍😍 I love the colours with the vibrant blue sky, gently blending down into the warm-toned sand at the bottom. Nova's warm hair and skin colours pop against the sky and you achieved something very clever with her suit. The suit is mostly grey but you've tinted the top half of her suit/body a warmer colour where it contrasts with the blue sky, while her legs are tinted a blue tone so that they stand out against the sand, very nice! 😸 The rendering here is absolutely gorgeous and so full of detail! Like Nova's gun is crazy to look at with all of it's interlocking and overlapping shapes, with many plane-changes, indents and grooves in the weapon. I like that you've also given the gun a warm tint to it so that it also pops against the blue sky. And all those details across her suit are fantastic too, like her shoulder pad with the overlapping plates, as well as those rib-cage things beneath her breast. And of course her extended hand with the overlapping and interlocking finger plates and bracer along the arm are so very well done. I especially love how the bracer on the arm receives a warm light along it's grey plates. And I also love the rib-cage things with their clear divide in light and shadow with thin rim-lights running through the centre. Similarly, the belt things that run over her nips look great with their clear contrast in tones and the thin blue rim-lighting running through the centre. The rendering on Nova herself is beautiful too and I just adore her hair. The long ponytail is fantastic with it's sweeping motion with large strands breaking away and curling in at the ends and I love how those strands overlap each other, separated by cast-shadows. All of the detail in the hair is so good and something I especially love is her fringe and how one large strand of hair runs alongside her face, framing it as it flows down. Her face too is just beautifully painted with a clear contrast in warm light and cool shadow to define her features. Her nose is adorable too and as always, I love that line of light that defines the corner of the bridge, as well as the reddish nose tip. Her blue eyes are so very eye-catching and the pale colour of her lips is lovely too, that strong contrast between her dark upper lip and her very bright lower lip is quite striking! The rendering of her body through the suit is gorgeous too, I love the hint of her toned stomach through the suit and all of the soft blending of light and dark tones in that area. The deep folds in the material wherever her body bends look great with my favourites being right above her right leg, something about those particular folds just looks so good! And of course, the shapes and definition of her curvaceous hips and thighs are wonderful, I especially like the cool edge-light that runs down her left thigh. Absolutely wonderful work, Didi! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Your new Nova painting is just so beautiful and vibrant and the colours feel very Summer-ish!
