As always, I've been very eagerly awaiting the finished Android 18 painting and hoo boy! She is absolutely stunning! I have to firstly say that I love the background, it looks so perfectly like a DragonBall Z environment and the colours and details are kept soft and out of focus so that they don't distract from the beautiful, blonde bombshell standing in front of us! 💛💛💛💛💛 The colours overall are simply glorious with the warm ball of energy in 18's hand shining like a tiny sun, it's incandescent light radiating 18's gorgeous face and perfect shining hair 😻😻😻 The warm tones of her face, hair and energy also provide a lovely contrast to the cool whites, blacks and blues of her clothing, while the brown belt also nicely separates the blue and black with it's warm tone running between them. Likewise, her blue eyes are so striking against the skin tones of her face, like captivating blue sapphires! 💙💙 The lighting too is fantastic with such a strong warm glow across 18's face and neck, casting strong shadows on the opposite side which creates a gorgeous and strong divide in light and shadow running down her face and neck. Similarly, her raised left arm has it's own strong divide in light and shadow that really accentuates the plane changes of her arms so nicely. Her hair too looks so gorgeous with how it glows and I adore the detail in the hair with so many strands painted as they part and slightly break away. I like to think that the reason her hair is moving is because of the energy building up in her hand, like how it would in the show! And taking a moment to look again to her face and neck, the skin tones and definition look fantastic with a lovely mixture of smoothly blended tones with more painterly, thicker brush strokes. The hand too is equally impressive with the fingers brightly glowing while strong occlusion shadows separate their forms and define back of her hand, the warm yellow rim-light down her hand is just delightful too! And then getting to her clothes themselves, that painterly, rough-textured style for her black top is marvellous with the folds running across her body as if they're twisting as she turns her torso. You did a great job with the skirt too, with the folds appearing softer giving the blue a very different texture, I also love the thicker folds on her left hip/thigh with harsher shadows. The dark blue lines that run down her hip/thigh also look great with how the line runs over and inside the shapes of the folds, really terrific attention to detail. The belt is also very nice with a strong contrast in light and dark on it too and it's own lovely texture. The rim-lighting that runs down her right arm as well as her breast and hip is also very striking and really pops against the shadows on her arm and skirt as well as the already dark black. Oh and of course the shapes of her breasts popping through the shirt are very well defined, I particularly like how the light shines down from above, with dark shadows running across the lower planes of her breasts, with lights mixed into the dark tones to accentuate the folds and shapes even more. And one last thing, the lower hand also looks terrific with the light illuminating it from one side with shadows on the back of the hand, as well as on the insides of the fingers. I especially love her thumb, the divide between the light and the shadow that cuts across the knuckle looks so good! And the detail of the thumb-nail with a little shine on it looks so nice too!
