Most excellent 👌I gotta say you're on fire in 2020,each artwork is better than the last, and additionally a lovely pokelady(?) Marnie is super cute, same goes for her Pikatchu wannabe friend ^^ Thanks for posting, cant wait to see all them goodies. Oh I definitely have to agree with d00m, your artwork in 2020 has been absolutely spectacular and every single painting is on a whole new level! 😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻 Starting off, I really like the background, it's got a lot going on with a tonne of texture, details and colour contrasts with blues, greens and varying shades of brown and sandy colours. And what's great is that while the background is detailed, you kept it blurred so that it doesn't distract from Marnie and so her crisp, clear detail really pops against the background. And the little Pokémon, Morpeko, looks great too with vibrant colours, a sense of texture and terrific lighting, specifically the great use of rim-lighting that really makes the darker brown and black colours pop! As for Marnie herself, well I see that you changed her expression to a more sly kind of subtle smile and I like it a lot! It also looks like her ponytails are longer which I also like too, the way the strands of hair curl outward, framing her face and body, then curling back in and meandering adds even more dynamism and motion to the painting. The rendering and lighting for Marnie are absolutely exquisite too, I love the level of detail to her hair, so many strands are rendered and the shine, especially on her fringe, is absolutely gorgeous. The bright white-rim-lighting to her hair also pops so nicely against the black and her little red ribbons look terrific too with a blue-tinted shine, as if the background is affecting the colour. Looking at her clothes, it's almost like the brighter parts of her black jacket are tinted slightly pink to match her dress which is something I like a lot and the black material is still dark enough to contrast the soft and warm pinks and skin tones. And keeping the jacket's lighting brighter also means that the black tones of the deep folds at her elbow, wrist and waist, as well as the shadows that her collar casts onto her shoulder, will pop and stand out. The subtle shine to her jacket, as well as how the light and dark tones are blended looks terrific too and has a painterly feel that I love. The shiny metal spikes on her sleeve and bottom of the jacket are quite eye-catching too, I particularly like the plane changes and way the dark tone cuts through the brighter metal on that spiky thing on her hip. The dress itself is utterly gorgeous too! I love the overall lighting with her breasts and thighs being kept bright and framing the darker tones of her stomach. Just like with the jacket, I love the subtle shine to the dress and you still made it look like a very different texture which is great. The deep folds at her hip that cut across her pelvis look absolutely fantastic too! That collection of folds is actually one of my favourite parts of the painting, the contrasts in light and dark and how thick the material looks because of it is fantastic, with the difference between light and dark being so striking. The shine spots on each breast and running down each thigh are also lovely and eye-catching and I really like that sort of strap that runs underneath her breasts and how it receives a subtle rim-light, while also casting a shadow underneath it. Similarly to that strap, the choker on her neck has a lovely texture and lighting to it too! And the Pokéball looks fantastic with it's smooth, shining surface. And the way you have both a shadow and rim-light running all around it gives it this reflective, shining texture that I adore and that pops nicely against the darker tone of her hand (which also looks terrific!) And lastly, Marnie's face is beautiful! Her green eyes are so very striking 💚💚. And the lighting with the dark tones wrapping around her cheek, jaw and chin makes the brighter half of her face all the more eye-catching, with great use of tone to define the shapes of her nose, while the shine to her lips gives them such an appealing, luscious feel. Oh and before I forget, having her jacket falling down on one side, exposing her shoulder makes her look all the more sensual and alluring, while the dark shadow and strong rim-light on that shoulder is so very striking. I also love the rim-lighting on her left breast too. Okay, I have to stop myself now! There's so much in this painting and I really could keep on going and going 😹 Suffice to say... I LOVE this! You did a fantastic job, Didi, a beautiful piece of artwork to start off a new month (Oh I just noticed something else, a yellow tint running under her left arm where the bright background shines onto the jacket!)
