Once again, I have been so very excited to see this painting! By the time your livestream was over, the painting was already so very beautiful and it's such a treat to see you paint a Disney character. This painting proves that Disney characters are absolutely perfect in your art style! 😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻 Firstly, these colours are simply gorgeous, I really love the two main colours of the sky, deep purple at the top and a more sandy colour at the bottom, both colours contrast so very well. The bright green and pink fabrics flowing through the image add so much vibrancy too, as does Jasmine's gorgeous tanned skin. The wispy clouds in the night sky are lovely too and alongside all of the flowing material, they make the image appear so dynamic! Something I love here is just how much fabric and material there is! It reminds me of your Gerudo Zelda painting (which is actually hanging up on my wall). You did such an amazing job on all of the background materials, the rendering of the folds looks so beautiful with a painterly texture and amazing use of lighting to define them as they flow, twist and curl. I could easily spend this entire comment talking just about the material! 😹 Similarly, the flowing skirt that billows around Jasmine's hips, as well as the loose green pants all look fantastic too and I love how the pants split open with the warm tones of Jasmine's thighs adding a contrast to the cool greens. I also really like how Jasmine interacts with the materials, particularly where it wraps around her lower hand. I just can't get over how beautiful all this fabric is! I wish i could just describe every single little crease and fold and do justice to what a beautiful job you did with all of it! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Looking at Jasmine herself, her hair is beautifully detailed and I really like the lighting with the brighter tones shining down on top of the hair around her head, contrasting with the darker hair below. The same contrast works through her whole ponytail and does an excellent job in showing how her hair twists into a spiral. The blue-green headband adds a fantastic cool colour contrast to her warm-brown hair and I really like it's shiny texture, as well as the shining blue jewel. And Jasmine's face is pure perfection! 😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻 This has to be one of my very favourite faces that you have ever painted! The eyes are so captivating and shine so nicely, the shadows define her nose, lips, cheek and chin so well, while the subtle red blush make-up on her cheek looks marvellous. Her smile is so very gorgeous and I am just purely and totally in love with her! Pulling myself away and looking at all of Jasmine, her entire body is rendered so well with excellent lighting. I love how the light and shadows define both of her arms, particularly her raised bicep and shoulder, as well as her lower fore-arm. The strong contrast in light and shadow for these areas is very striking, while both of her hands are excellent too, I particularly like the lower hand with her palm in shadow and thin lights running along the tops of her fingers. Her chest/breasts too benefit so well from this lighting and are so smoothly and wonderfully rendered, especially with the light shining onto her breasts from one side, both of their forms separated by the darker tones on the inside of her left breast. And the stomach area too is exquisite, the thin hard edge that runs through the centre of the stomach, as well as the hint of light on her left waist/hip are marvellous and despite her stomach being most in shadow, you gave enough subtle changes in tone to define all of the shapes so well. And lastly, the various pieces of gold throughout her outfit are also very nice with their shining textures, with the strongly contrasting light and dark tones being so striking. You have done a truly stunning job with this painting, Didi! I truly believe this may be among your all-time BEST paintings! The colours are so vibrant, the lighting is divine, the sense of elegance and flow, as well as the insane level of detail is mind-blowing. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that this painting is simply magical 😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻😻 And I didn't bring up the alternate hairstyle of red clothes version but the rest assured, I adore them too! I especially like that you added even more blue-tinted lighting to the hair to add even more of a lighting/colour contrast. I really don't feel like I can praise your hard work enough for this painting, just to repeat myself, it really is among your very best! I sincerely hope that you'll paint more Disney ladies in the future, your style is too perfect for them.
