Oooh, I've been looking forward to this one! The WIP was so very romantic and intimate and now, this finished painting is simply gorgeous with beautiful colours and lighting! Starting off, I really like the background sky with the sparkling stars and different shades of blue, the cool tones really let the bright and vibrant characters stand out. A very smart thing you did was with how you rendered Nightwing's suit, tinting the black with a warm colour makes it pop so well against the cool background and the rendering of his muscles looks great, especially his upper arm with bright, pale rim-lighting to really accentuate the shapes. And that bright, pale rim-lighting now also contrasts so very well with warm tint to his black suit. The blue logo on his suit also conforms very well to the shapes of his body, even having their own shadows which is a great detail. His glove also looks very good too with a warm tint at where it connects to his arm, as well as a subtly shining texture and rendering of the folds. It also looks great how his fingers cast a shadow on Batgirl's bum and thigh. You also did a great job with Nightwing's face too with a warm skin tone, well defined features and a very nice shine running through his black hair, giving it an ideal amount of detail and definition. While the bright rim-lighting along the back of his hair also makes it pop against the background. And as for Batgirl, oh she looks so amazing! I love the intimacy between Nightwing and Batgirl and she looks so beautiful as she closes her eyes and kisses him, her hair flowing, her back arched as she leans into him while so sensually wrapping her legs around him. Just like with Nightwing, I really like how you added a touch of warm colour to her purple top, while her purple underwear remains a cooler colour, giving a nice contrast across her body. Her vibrant red hair pops so well against the background and the way it shines makes it look so luxuriant, the slight red tint to the back of her bat-cowl is a great subtle detail too. And like with Nightwing's glove, I also like how you rendered Batgirl's glove and boot with a subtle shine and deep folds near her ankle. The glove looks especially great with the bright rim-lighting. Batgirl's whole body is gorgeously rendered too, I love the forms of her arm, upper back and the way the light and shadows define her breast and how it connects beneath her arm. Her bum looks exceptional with the rim-lights that accentuate the rounded shape as well as showing the overlap between each side of it. And her warm-toned skin looks beautiful with a wonderful shape to her thighs and lower bum, while her face is simply stunning and so perfectly featured. And some small, but important, things I like are the occlusion shadows where Batgirl and Nightwing's faces touch and press together, as well as the shadows that they cast onto each other's bodies, showing the overlap and contact between them. Absolutely gorgeous work on this piece, Didi! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Seeing you paint 2B x 9S, Link x Zelda and now Batgirl and Nightwing, it's clear that you are terrific with these romantic, sensual and intimate girl x boy paintings and I'd love to see you make more!
