Wow, wonderful work Didi. Thats the Jean Gray/Dark Phoenix We all deserve :D Wonderful choice of colors, awesome pose and.... damn thats hot ! Too bad it remind me that it's so hot outside.... nevermind it, have a wonderful rest of June and all the best! A mountain load of insanely warm hugs (or maybe freezing cold ones would be better ? :P )

Oh wow, Didi, it was a real pleasure to get to see you work on this painting during your livestreams and the final versions of it are truly breathtaking! The colours here are so blazing hot and a real treat to witness, with my favourite parts being the way her hair is dark red around her face, transitioning to orange and yellow at the tips, as well as the brighter white tones on her red suit that define her body, most notably on her shoulder and breast. Also her gloves and golden sash look gorgeous with the strong contrast between the bright lights as well as the very deep and dark shadows, the folds in the material ripple beautifully, just as the flowing fabric to the side of her is so very dynamic with how meanders, twists and folds. The rendering and forms are all so beautiful, I already praised the colours of the hair, but the level of detail in the strands and how intricate it all looks is so very impressive too! I also adore how brightly her golden eyes shine, while her face is just so beautiful and I love her red nose and lips, they pop out very nicely against the brightly lit skin tones and eyes. Her entire body is sensationally painted too with the forms of her shoulders, breasts, stomach, hips and thighs all looking so well done. I especially enjoy the shapes of her ribs and how the planes change to her stomach, as well as how painterly the brush strokes are. Her thighs too are brilliant with how well you've define the muscles, I especially like the alternating light and dark tones across both of her legs that show the plane changes of her rippling muscles. And I will quickly say here that I really like the Jean Grey version too, the green eyes and suit really pop so nicely against the background fire, with her face having a softer, gentler feel which is a lovely contrast to the more epic and badass Dark Phoenix version. I'm sorry to say that I'm going to just be leaving this single, shorter comment. The recent loss of one of my cats has just left me feeling deflated, but I still wanted to leave some kind of comment for you to let you know how impressed I am by this beautiful painting! So I will also add here quickly that the nude variants too are breathtaking. You captured a natural weight and hanging feeling to her breasts so well, and all of her skin tones are so beautiful with the warm tones and contrasting dark shadows on the outer planes of her hips and thighs. I am so incredibly impressed by her entire stomach area too, it looks so well defined with perfectly blended brush strokes that simultaneously look smooth while also being painterly. The level of skill you have with painting skin tones and rendering anatomy is insane, Didi! As is you skill in painting hair and you know how much I adore your style for faces and eyes. You've created something very special with Dark Phoenix here, powerful, badass, dynamic, sensual, beautiful and vibrant with such striking use of lighting. Hi Ciarán, ohh first do not worry about a shorter comment ( although it's nothing short ;) I always understand the effort you make when expressing your feelings in the drawings and I understand that at this moment it is difficult due to the loss of your kitten.
