Hubby's eyes and 'in SECURITY' (Patreon)
Content
Alrighty, as I promised a little update what's going on with us for the next weeks.
We went to a health check up yesterday and hubby's first cataract surgery will be in two weeks, the second one will be a week after that. So for the next two weeks we will publish 'in SECURITY' on the usual schedule. After each surgery, they say he should rest for three days (no lifting, heavy work out, bending over or eye strain) So probably the two weeks in which he has his eyes repaired will be reruns or Sunday comics. The week after most likely as well, mostly because of check ups and just taking it easy to play it safe. So all together there will be a three week hiatus.
After that, if everything goes well, we should be back to 100%, causing our Christmas arc to slide into January, tho. But I think we can survive that :)
Patreon wise: I will keep updating here normally since I'm pretty much the sole content producer and poster. Only those posts which include his works (mainly Sunday comics) will take a back seat. Fot this month I do have a Sunday, but not a second one. So I will see with what I can replace that. Currently I'm thinking of either a digital strip or a third illustration. But nothing is set in stone yet.
December will be similar and might only have one or perhaps no Sunday comic.
But aside of that I will keep posting Sketches, WIPs and Pin ups. Also, as I mentioned last time, 'You've gotta be kitten me!' is not affected at all and will stay on it's normal schedule since it's my solo project.
Thanks a lot for your support and well wishes. We really appreciate that. Also, one more thing, please don't raise your pledge or anything like that due to these news. This whole situation caught us off guard and we appreciate that some want to rush to our aid. But it's not needed at this point. This years we actually made good headway and were able to lay aside a bit of money. So rest asure, we can manage and will be fine :)
We just want to share what's going on but not exploit the situation for sympathy or pity. All we ask for is to keep Hubby in your prayers and wish him good luck and good recovery so that the surgery won't have any complications.
We are both pretty upbeat tho, since it's a fairly safe procedure and the results sound promising. So I'm certain things will be alright ^^
Once again, thank you for your support. I will start posting sketches and WIPs within the coming days again ^^
Thanks and best wishes
