Hiatus! ;A; (please hear me out, tho ^^) (Patreon)

Well….the cat is out of the bag, literally ^^

We are going on an hiatus for the next 5 weeks. The full announcement can be read here:

I want to explain a couple things.

First of all, Patreon will not be affected. I will continue posting stuff here during our hiatus. So you’ll get a colored Sunday, a pin up and lotsa sketches ($5 tier) this month nonetheless :)

I will also try to be more responsive without letting you wait so long for my replies to comments. (I’m really sorry, I read them all but it takes always a lot of time getting back to you. My apologies ;A;)

I’m not sure what I’ll do about the $3 WIPs. You’ll get the few remaining ones from the influencer arc and some unpublished ones from way back. After that, I will probably substitute the WIPs with something else (maybe extra sketches or such ^^)

The book:

yes, our new book is pretty much out. I will open up a pre-order threat with details tomorrow. Please do not contact me as of yet about it. I have to sort a couple things out before I’m ready for taking orders. But I hope you’ll look forward for it :) 

And, a new comic….well, more like an exercise I guess ^^

yep, I started a new comic in order to get better with drawing digitally because, let’s face it, if ‘in SECURITY’ goes into a year six run (which I dearly hope), it will be done digitally. And when that happens I want to be prepared. >:)

Originally I had a different trial project in mind. One about a kid that fights bullies in school.

However, the main characters, this charming gentlemen, is actually my husband’s character.

While he gave me permission to use this character, he also got excited about the main idea and we agreed on approaching this story as a team again and pitch it to professional publishers.

Up side: yay, teamwork!. Also, hubby is really good with fights scenes, lay outs and inking. So I see a rather high quality project coming out of it (especially since he’ll help me with the writing ^///^)

Down side: This won’t happen until 2022 so…..yeah, there went my hiatus project :/

However, I still wanted to do a project of my own to get better with digital comic work. And….well, since I like cats I thought of a comic about cat jokes. I mean, I’m a walking resource of cat jokes since I had numerous kitties in my life. 

So it sounded like something I could handle without help. However, everyone and their mom seems to make comic about their feline friends. So I decided to portray the kitty as a cat girl and make it essentially a relationship/cat comedy. Or in other words:

(You’ll be the judge ;))

The production quality is not on the same level as ‘in SECURITY’, because I’m doing it alone, cutting some corners and....stuff. But it’s fun and I’ll see where it brings me :)

I will not add any ‘kitten‘ content to Patreon as of yet. Also, to give you peace of mind, ‘in SECURITY’ is the flag ship. Under no circumstances will I abandon it for the new project. So don’t worry, this is not one of those ‘I’m bored of the old, so I make something new’-cases. :)

Why did I make a new comic instead of creating extra ‘in SECURITY’ comics?

Well, I wanted to practice on my own (and not burden hubby with more work). But ‘in SECURITY’ is a project I do together with hubby and I want to keep it that way. I think it would be wrong to go rouge and do comics under that brand without him. I mean, I would not want him to do stuff with these characters without me either. So it’s better to just start from scratch, imo :)
