Merry Christmas....WIP (Patreon)

...and a happy new Year. Kinda late but also fitting since this will most likely be my last post for 2018 :)

I know people are getting impatient with these two but I have to admit...this particular strip is so worth it for me. I think this scene would've not worked between an (established) couple, at least not in the way I intended it to do.

I like how Hubbs is down for leaving his friend but yet still turn around expressing how much he enjoyed the time with his pal. I'm not sure how you feel about that scene, but it feels so much warmer and pure because it's between two friends (although one of them sees it as a date), at least to me.

Too Hubbs they are soulmate and this scene (actually the whole arc) enforces it again, imo.

I'm not salty that people want a faster progression, but my priority is to establish a strong emotional bond between the two (and the worry of what will happen to Hubbs once he loses 'Al' for 'Ellie'...we all know this conflict will eventually come, right ;A;)
