Finally I can use a reference to that Carpenters song as a proper title!!!

This was an old joke. I had that in mind since 2014/2015 (back when the two characters weren't a meant to be a couple...at least not at that point). I always meant to draw it as a small series of sketches, but never came around to do so. Instead I ended up doing the thumbnail for a Sunday comic and let it sit...

I'm really happy that this old idea of mine finally found it's way into the actual comic. Granted, the scene plays better when thinking of two dater. But overall it's still a silly but lovely scene I think :) (and hopefully a nice distraction from the current Thanksgiving circus XD)

The rain, fur parts on Sedine's jacket and patterns on the umbrella were brushes. I planned to do the rain digitally from the start, because it would make the coloring easier and give the comic the desired atmosphere. To be honest...I looooove the close up of Sam in the second tier <3

The fur part were experimental. First I wanted to shade those parts properly, but after playing around with the fur-brush I felt like the effect looks too good to not be used. What do you think? Hand shading or texture brush for fur like that? :)

Anyway, I hope you like it and have a great Sunday :D

The brush works great especially for the fur. I love this strip. Both of them are cute in their conversation and looks. Sam is so nice, he didn't argue. He just picked her up, slung her on his back and put the jacket on. Her ending comment is perfect and I love that ending heart.

Thank you. I'm glad you like it. As I said, I'm very fond of the joke and are glad it's finally a reality (and it turned out exactly how I wanted it to look like ^0^)

I notice Sam's hair keeps shifting left and right. Is he shaking his head? It's a cute strip and the brushing works well. Nice work.

Thank you :) His hair...makes no sense XD. But if you like to think he’s shaking his head, it sure works for me :)
