An (old) illustration with it's PSD file. ...I have to admit I'm not sure if I didn't want to publish this one here or if I simply forgot :/

I drew this one in 2015 (at least that's what the file data claims). It was one of my first digital coloring attempts and back then I tried to do more painting and blending rather than cell shading. Overall l did have my troubles with developing some sort of a coloring style because I simply couldn't 'see' the finished picture in my head...unlike when I colored something with copic maker or watercolors :/

Aside of that I wasn't too familiar with Manga Stdio/Clip Studio paint and neither knew how to work fast and clean (as if I do clean colorations nowadays, lol) nor did I really understand the tools...well, I still don't fully understand them. But I'm getting used to it....slowly XD

What else...? Sedine's hair was still black/dark blue and...once I opened the photoshop file and tried to somewhat organize all those (unlabeled) layers, I couldn't help myself but started playing around with some settings. This is how that illustration looked originally:

Little pinker and shinier...

Anyway, deep inside I cringe over that old thing...but I'm also kinda happy looking back at it. I mean, back then these two characters were really nothing but stray ideas I wanted to keep (mostly) to myself. The way things worked out so far is really nice imo :)

Feel free to download either version of this Illustration and it's PSD file (it's pretty big tho <,<). Not sure if it's helpful, but maybe somewhat interesting :)

EDIT: I just stumbled over this. Super rough is super rough XD (I think I did a somewhat clean sketch, printed it out and put everything into perspective...I'm amazed I was able to look through that whole mess @___@)

Thank you so much for posting that. It really caught my eye the first time I saw it. I love her dreamy eyes and the way she is clutching the pillow. No need to cringe, nicely done. Glad your stray ideas came to fruition.

Nicely done. And the detail is terrific. All the folds and creases in the fabric, the lamp shade, and the bed frame show great attention to detail. I too like the way Sedine is clutching the pillow case. That speaks volumes as do both faces. I had to look closely though to see if she had a nose. :o)

Thank you and I'm happy you enjoy all those details. It's a great compliment :D
