Are you referring to the 'Bonsai kitten' story? You are pretty close :) This strip was inspired by our last cat which, when he didn't want to be picked up, just relaxed his body. He was a big main coon and if he was in that 'relaxing'-state, he was like jello and really difficult to get a grip of (especially when you have small hands and don't want to hurt him by squeezing him). But I also had the Bonsai kitten thing in mind, when it came to drawing this strip, just because of the visuals ;P
