Hello Kits, Kitsunes and Regal Kitsunes!

I am still tinkering with v 0.03 and am excited as to what your reactions shall be in the next update, at the rate it is going it should be done for the end of the month. I have put a great deal of polish on this update so I hope that it shall be enjoyed.

The questions I pose to you now (after the landslide voting for fox ears only on kitsunes) is this:

Should TFs be Reversible or Not?

For instance, should Michael/Michio be on a one-way feminization-to-eventual-gender-bending train or should he/she be able to mitigate or reverse some changes done to him/her?

This is another poll created out of curiosity and I have had some interesting views on this already.

SO much can happen with this. It depends how big you want the game to be. Is he gonna fight his inner voices to be turned. Or will he will himself to not listen and try to go back to how he used to be.

I only voted for some changes to be reversed. I want the feminization to be complete but be able to change minor things that might come along the way. Example: If she gets breasts to large we could do something to have them become smaller. Those kinds of reversal but can not reverse a gender change.

Beware rhe dread Combinatorial Explosion. Things that wouldn't hugely distort the story can be reversed, but if everthing can, you end up with way to much work, and burn out

This is a good poll, but like other said, I worry about the game becoming too convoluted and harded to mantain. Maybe some changes could be reversible, but I think for your sanity sake most should be permanent. And if you get the choice to choose them anyway, why revert? This topic should be really discussed throughly, but in the end you should do what you think it's best.

I will reiterate what others have said about avoiding too many combinations. But at the same time if you are making a TF optional in the first place, then it shouldn't be too hard to switch back to the same route as if you had never taken in the first place later.

Given that I don't know how the game engine works on these matters (nor overall), my thinking may not be fruitful to be applied. But I'd prefer (personally) that the changes which are forced (though you did mention there would be none more of those?) would be reversible somehow (to some degree or altogether if the player wants, story to be made there), BUT the changes that you partake willingly (like, getting warned about dangers and ignoring it because *F TEH SISTEM, AI DO WATS I WANT!* an all) should not be reversible. Thus choices would have meaningful consequences (in my eyes), yet where we where not given a choice could still be remedied (to some degree or wholly, I'm open to both ways but lean to former though). I prefer a degree of 'alleviation' because sometimes shizzz happens and we have to find a way to live with the consequences, like it or not (is the thinking there). Having said that, I would still very much prefer to have a hand in choosing if there is a Michael at the end of the game or a Mica. Either and or not, excited to see where this story goes next hehe

Thanks everyone for your input, you have surprised me! I had thought that most would swing towards either irreversible or fully reversible, not the middle ground! I had planned on making it the way people have suggested, with a slight twist variance (because yes variables are a nightmare to track in the game scenes) but I believe I can pull my idea off. A big part of the game going forwards now is that you, the player, decide Michio's/Michael's fate and reversing TFs is going to be difficult to do but doable (up to a certain point, think HLF's 'Magical Camp'). I am thinking of opening up a 'Last of the Kitsune' Discord at some point so people can have more in-depth conversations about these topics.

It's better not to make things complicated on yourself. Scope creep can be the death of any project, especially a small one like this, and this sounds like an expensive feature. That said, if it's easy enough to do then go for it.

I don't think that the general feminization TFs and the intelligence/elocution TFs should be reversible or even optional. Only having to account for stuff like breast size/genitalia size seems much more manageable.

I really enjoyed everything in the story until the mistress/elocution TF stuff. I don't think I could motivate myself to keep playing if the whole enslavement thing is irreversible. I'd be fine if the optional TFs are permanent, the avoidable ones, but I think a player pursuing masculinity should at least be able to reverse the main ones you're forced into with no choice.
