So when are we expecting to get a chance to pay for the alpha or beta or whatever?

Matt

Very supportive of this decision. You maintain creative control and you finally get to free yourself to manage the game while someone else makes progress with the code. You've done it. You've made it. Congratulations. I'm very proud to contribute to this patreon. Keep up the great work, and go take a week off after you get the team set up.

Hey that's great news for everyone involved I think. Having a reliable business partnership is, as you said, a difficult decision. I do have a couple small concerns, mostly things that aren't any of my business. One such concern being: Why exactly has tinyBuild decided to form a partnership with you; what exactly are they gettIng out of this deal? Or are my concerns completely unfounded and they are simply in this to support a great project?

Clare Ruth Gundersen

That's great news! This will make Yandere Simulator's development much more swift! :3

The Word Eaters

Congratulations! I feel that this will help you very much. Though I can offer very little I will continue to do so and I can't wait to see were this will lead to.

Justice Jansen

Congrats on your partnership with tinyBuild! I hope that you will be able to achieve what you need from working with them. I am also looking forward toward the fruits of labor that come from this business deal. My question is: will you still be providing a debug build for us to test periodically? Or is this feature going away?

HurricaneEris

Congrats on the partnership! And you're so close to your goal too, it looks like the project is doing good!

Copperskull

I'll continue pledging for now with a plan to stop when I buy the alpha. I'm curious if you still plan to port the game to the newer engine and rewrite the code in C#. Are you planning to let tinyBuild and their hired developer make that decision?

YandereDev

The game should most certainly be ported to Unity 5 and converted to C#. tinyBuild will be handling this.

YandereDev

You'll get free debug builds up until Osana is released. Post-Osana, you'll need to pay for access to future debug builds.

YandereDev

They are getting a percentage of the game's profits. This arrangement means that I make less money, but that's a sacrifice that I am willing to make, to ensure that the final product that you receive is higher-quality than it would have been without a company's help.

YandereDev

I want to say May at the soonest and July at the latest, but game development is very unpredictable, so I don't want to make any promises.

Copperskull

If working with tinyBuild results in a more fleshed out game and gives it more reach, you might actually make more money than you would have releasing it on your own. Also, having your name associated with tinyBuild and a detailed, quality game won't hurt for your next project. This probably is your best route.

Christopher Divry

Help me sempai, im throwing money at the screen and its not working...

Sen Nemesis

I can't tell you how happy I am that you've taken this next step toward game progress and time management. I hope this game becomes something you'll be proud of!

NeonTheGreen

Hmm... tinyBuild and YandereDev... I ship it! :D Congratulations on the partnership, Dev! I'm so happy for you!

I'm seeing that some of the income from patreon have been cut by patrons I'm sure it won't drop bellow the 4k per m Well, my decision to raise the amount last month have come to be usefull after all Good luck in this new adaptation phase and I wish you guys have a good synergy working together

Kyra Arkenseed

Oh YandereDev The sacrifices you make for us all are quite inspiring. You are a good person with vastly more patience than I have. Thank you YandereDev, for all that you do.

Hamza Ali

What happened to the kick-starter can't you do both? (I was hoping on that, and it would maintain hype while giving time for ports + allows one off payments) and below 18? Is that set in stone? OMD YanDev Senpai Responded to me **faints**

jonnymelabo

TinyBuild looks like an amazing idea! ;)

Copperskull

I hope this allows you to implement customizable and randomized school layouts like you've mentioned in the past.

cuyima

I am so happy for you YanDev :) I hope this also opens the possibility to replace the Unity-Asset-Store models. I'd love to finally see new models for students!

Chris Anderson

I'd like to know what was meant when you said there will not be AO content. I assume you mean nudity/sex/rape but with what you can do in the game now and some of the mechanics you are looking to put in later the game could easily get an AO rating in many countries without any sex, rape or nudity. Will the game have to be rated by something like the ESRB/PEGI or is it more Tinybuild preferring to stay away from games with pornographic or greater levels of sexual content? I could see many things about the game needing to be altered to get through a ratings board with less than an AO rating but if it is just Tinybuild saying "We like what we see, just don't add X" (content you did not plan on adding anyway) then I see no issues.

Raymond Fürst

I support this partnership and will continue to patron you. The quality of the game will certainly improve.

Karolina Belomestnova

YandereDev, YadereDev! Please do not abandon the Kickstarter idea! You can do both if you want (Kickstarter with Osana and Alpha with 3 rivals), but please keep the Kickstarter! As of now, I'm more interested in Let's Plays than playing the game myself, but if I could get could get to name a student (even if it's a "high school population" random generated student), that would be amazing! Actually, these could be reward tiers: name random student, name+design random student, name club member, name+design club member, name+design club leader (Kickstarter allows for limited amounts of backers to certain tiers, right?). I'd be tremendously interested in that and willing to pay. But there's no way to get that if there's no Kickstarter. P.S. I'm very happy for you and the game, Yandere Dev :) However, I stand by my previous comment: don't overwork yourself to death. Don't work 7 days a week, take vacations, watch anime and play video games. Like a normal 9 to 5 worker does. You don't have to slave away and burn out. So take care of yourself :)

YandereDev

The CEO of tinyBuild believes that this will be a huge selling point of the game (user-created content). I agree. It will be one of the things we build the new codebase around.

YandereDev

This isn't the sort of thing where I can answer "Yes" or "No", because the answer is much more complicated than that. It'll be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Angie

You should take a vacation, Senpai you deserve it!

Aden Xin

I'm happy you've gotten somebody who can help you with your game. You deserve the help. I also think that those who follow Yandere Simulator will be understanding of the situation. Also, I agree with the people above me. You should take a vacation from time to time. I know you've made Yandere Sim's development your full time job, and want to keep it going both for your fans and yourself, but don't overwork yourself. Another thing, here's to hoping that twitch decides they trust Tiny Build enough to trust Yandere Simulator with them working on it. :D ~ Good Luck.

Gomen Son

DUDE!! Good job man!! Congrats!! I'm so glad you found someone to help out. Can't wait for the game!!

Gomen Son

And I hope you can come out with a Steam version of the game!!

Gomen Son

And yes. Take a break.

Gomen Son

Like a nice long vacation. Lol

Kamos

It is always good to have someone who help... even company :)

A string walks into a bar with a few friends and orders a beer. The bartender says, "I'm sorry, but we don't serve strings here." The string goes back to his table. He ties himself in a loop and messes up the top of his hair. He walks back up to the bar and orders a beer. The bartender squints at him and says, "Hey, aren't you a string?" The string says, "Nope, I'm a frayed knot."

Ygor Rodrigues
