I'd like to ask my patrons to give me their opinion on something!

I took a couple of days off from working on Yandere Simulator to help someone put together this mod. I provided them with Yandere-chan's model, a katana model, costume textures, renders of Yandere-chan, voice clips, sound clips, etc.

If you see something like this, do you think "Cool!" or do you think "Hey, YandereDev isn't spending his time working on Yandere Simulator! Why am I supporting this guy?!"

Your answer will help me determine whether or not it's okay for me to take a couple of days off to do stuff like this.

Thanks for your input!

That'd be AWESMAZING~♪! Do it!

I would prefer if you worked on the game but i think that this is a good publicity for the game. Also, i think it's good that you ask the opinion of the community but you could probably trust your guts more.

Raina Shepherd

This sounds awesome. By all means, take time off for this.

Felipe Augusto Batista

Loved this. You can continue doing things like this and experimenting. Good work!

Zastinx

Everyone needs a break from work at some point. Go for it.

Duct Taped

This is really cool and I would like to see more cross overs or collaborative projects.

16119

That is really cool. I want to play it really right now.

Licia

You work hard Yandere-dev. Taking a few days to do something fun or make something cool is more than okay in my book!

Dsabre

That's cool! If I played smash I'd be all over that. Everyone needs a break from time to time, keeps the mind fresh

Anonymous

This was really cool to see Yandere-dev. I don't mind see fun side-projects like this every now and then. And don't feel bad about taking breaks, I don't want you to burn yourself out. :)

Anonymous

Fuck yeah Yandev, how do I use this mod though?

Cory

I think it's super cool that you did this! Y'know what'd be even cooler? Yandere-chan in Shovel Knight. ;) Nah I kid.

James Griffin

I agree with Tsundure Angel. We don't want you to burn out. And things like this are part of the marketing budget.

Anonymous

As long as it doesnt become a regular thing. As in i wouldnt want you working on other projects 50%of the time. BUt if you only took a couple days its fine. I really like it its cool

Anonymous

Once a month or so, I'd be fine with it. Any more and I would start questioning my support.

FearTheDee

As some one who can't do the same thing too often or I go insane, doing side things for entertainment is all good dude. It helps change things up I believe!

Totally cool with that, everyone needs a break sometimes. Keep the amazing work!

Captain Japan

Dude, I'll continue to gladly give you money as long as you continue to do awesome shit. This sounds like awesome shit.

Anonymous

That sounds epic! It's like getting more for our money. In any case, we are supporting you in whatever you decide is best. haters may hate. but the true fans will continue to support.

Anonymous

I'm all for it!

Brad C

Fine by me!

Anonymous

If it isn't too involved and affects your work then I am fine with it. In fact I think it's great that a developer is working with the community in such a way.

Anonymous

If nothing else, it could easily bring more interest to Yan-Sim. As you have stated you love the work of fans and that such work helps you put more energy into your own work, I see this as nothing more than a boon. Go for it!

torin sockey

heck yes I love crossovers

Chris Anderson

I think it is great. Helping / collaborating with other independent developers should be encouraged to help further creativity and increase the quality of projects.

Copperskull

This is the recognition and encouragement that fandom always loves. I hope it inspires even more awesome things from your fans!

Copperskull

Also, most of the complaints I see are just because you posted something other than the rival introduction video that everyone is frothing over. If you had posted this any other time, there would be far less negativity.

Anonymous

I think it's an amazing tribute to your project and how it has inspired people to creatively celebrate it.

Looks awsome!

Hello YandereDev, Even though i only contribute $1.00 every month, do know that i do it out of support. In all honesty, i have never got to experience your game because i do not own a Windows platform. But i have always enjoyed the content that youtubers publish about your work and hope that i could one day play it. You are a one person developer and i never would have thought even once that you are slacking off. Someday's we just do not do the things we always do and that should not be the reason for people to get angry or disappointed in you. I believe your final game will be a masterpiece on its own and to make something of quality, there is no need to rush. Please do take the days off as necessary and do something cool for yourself =D I hope i get to play your game real soon, please keep up the good work ^^

Tomoyuki Saito

Naw its more like Wow now I really do wish I had some short of Nintendo Console and had Super Smash Bros XD Im totally cool with you doing other projects more so if its just going to increase awareness for Yandere simulator and possibly increase the support for it. Besides that I'm mean who wants to stop you from doing stuff like this I mean come on we all know and you even said yourself that this game is going to take a long....long time to do this and if this little thing allowed you to branch out and cool off a bit from your normal schedule that's great I mean its not like you doing a small project like this off the side is going to affect the release date for the Complete game i mean in all honestly I would like you more stuff like this even kinda do stuff like you and other workers such as the voice of Yandere play the game and mess around with it I mean that would be pretty cool, but it is your channel and it is your time but you got my support it's not like just because I see you taking a small break its going to make me stop my $1.00 support i mean if it took that much to make me do that I would have left Alexander Frost a man who usually has to go on long breaks do to "life" being a dick, i would have stop supporting him 7 years ago XD nope I'm a loyal little bugger aren't I? BTW knowing Nintendo they might try doing something but with how big and strong support is for you which includes famous Youtubers like Markiplier, Pewdiepie, Smosh and so on I'm pretty sure your safe if some greedy dick trys anything =3

I think it's important to sometimes take a break and do something a bit different. So yeah it's cool. But then again I donate to support your work, rather then ONLY Yandere Simulator.

Woeful_Imp

It definitely is awesome! The only issue I have with it is that now I have to find a way to play Super Smash Bros! :D In all honesty, you are doing great work, this kind of side project, as it were, is also really important, especially when they are this cool!

Anonymous

That is awesome, too bad i cant play it.. ;(

Anonymous

It's awesome that Yandere simulator is getting enough love and attention by others., it should be appreciated. Anyway, it's cool by me.

Derp

it's all cool and dandy. Some occasional side work is okay. Though I hope you won't spend too much time on side projects :)

Neraced

It's perfectly fine to work on side-projects, especially if they turn out that much fun! Well done, sir!

Anonymous

Don't even worry about it, you need breaks too!

Maelstrom Reigi

Let's talk about food. I like cow meat. How to produce best quality of meat? You will need high quality of grass, careful maintenance and of course love, passion and patience.

Anonymous

this is so rad

Anonymous

Yandere-dev, as long as your side projects don't impact the long term development of Yandere Simulator and add value to your life, go ahead. You're human too and it's important not to turn your project into a slog.

Raymond Fürst

I think it's cool. Take your time, and take a break some time. Maybe some day this stuff can be used for a second mini-game as an alternative for Yanvania.

CyanSorrow

Distractions are necessary sometimes, and as long as it isn't a distraction that significantly impacts the progress of the main project than people have no need to complain.

Mina Jewel

Yaaaaay!!! Yan-Chan is going to Join Super Smash!? YAAAAAY!!!! *fangirling* OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!
