Hi, Patrons!

Usually, I only write a post on Patreon when I'm ready to show off some progress in the form of a YouTube video. I'm still preparing the game's next big feature, so I'm not ready to upload a new YouTube video just yet. However, I worry that my Patrons might feel concerned when more than a month has passed without seeing a Patreon post from me, so I feel that I should make a quick post just to let you know that I haven't disappeared, and I'm still hard at work.

For future reference, my Wordpress blog is always the best place to hear the latest news about the game's development. In fact, earlier tonight, I wrote a new blog post describing what I'm currently working on. I also included a lot of information about the status of the game's framerate, which a lot of people have been asking about recently. If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, please check it out:

If you're totally comfortable with checking my blog and YouTube channel to get the latest updates, then I suppose there's no problem here. But, if a lack of Patreon posts makes you feel concerned, let me know in the comments below, and I'll try to post more often.

Thank you for following the development of Yandere Simulator!

2022-02-03 17:26:19 Honestly, I read your wordpress every time it updates and haven't even considered that you might be neglecting the patreon posts (I feel like everyone who donates to you automatically keeps up with your blog & YT acc bc they care, but I might just be an outlier in this regard)

would be nice to update here too, might be simple note of reminder about blog or youtube channel, would not take too much of your time.

It's certainly best to mention it here too. I for one go through my list of supported creators once a month or so to check for inactivity and stop support appropriately if they've been inactive for 2 months or so. That may not sound like a problem since you'd only be one month inactive, but I had a case where I cut somebody off and they got a hold of me a week or so later and said that they had some unexpected problems in addition to the expected one month of no update, making no updates for two months. I'm only in the bottom tier, so I know this means very little. But I'm one out of however many that tells my reasoning and opinion. Many people online don't comment for whatever reason, and they'd just cancel their support without you ever knowing why if your one month happened to turn into two months due to uncontrolled/unexpected circumstances. Everyone's got their own system. So in a nutshell, thanks for posting here. I wouldn't have known otherwise.

you big gay WHERE IS THE UPDATE

YandereDev

I was waiting on two things: music, and animations. My composer has finished creating the music for the update, but I haven't heard from my animator in about a week. It's possible that my animator isn't going to finish the animations. In that case, I'll simply upload a new video/build on June 15th, with the intro in whatever state it's in at that time

Can't wait to see more updates on the game, are ya gonna try for any console or even maybe steam?

YandereDev

After releasing Osana, I'd like to try to get the game on Steam. I'm a little worried that I'll encounter some resistance from Steam (they may want me to censor the game in some manner, or remove some content from the game). I guess I'll just have to cross that bridge when I come to it. I worked at a game company for several years, and I learned firsthand that developing games for console is extremely expensive. Yandere Simulator being released on consoles is something that I can't promise unless the game is incredibly financially successful on Steam, or unless I host a crowd-funding campaign specifically to raise funds for releasing the game on other platforms. (Or unless a publisher agrees to eat the cost for me.)

I will support this game either way, i am in love with Yandere chan and after huniepop steam took out censors or so i thought i read either way it will be great
