Over the last couple days I've been digging up some older topics that I researched in the past. With better tools and more resources available, I can now go deeper than I did when I was writing about this for the wiki.

I had a few ideas for Dark Souls 2 but decided to pick the Gravestone mechanic! For those who are unfamiliar, Dark Souls 2 introduced a feature where NPCs you've killed could be summoned later on as a ghost, for a cost, at a gravestone. This was a way to lesson the consequences of killing random NPCs where you could still interact with them afterwards, but of course there's a catch and their ability to maintain services after death is context-dependent.

(today I was working on ironing-out when killing Grandahl screws you out of being able to join the covenant vs. when the gravestone allows you)

I think this is likely to be a shorter episode since there isn't a whole lot to talk about, but I'm excited to wrap up what feels like a loose end that's been in the back of my mind for years. This clip is from 2014, afterall:

I think I should have all my testing wrapped up today, so scripting should begin tomorrow!
