If you're wondering what the heck this is and why isn't it Dark Souls, don't worry, I think it'll be interesting still. The video will be made with people who haven't played the game at all in mind.

I think I have a fascination with games that cram in weird details and lesser/ tangential/ unnecessary mechanics, and this is a game that was simply ahead of its time in this regard. It's also a game known for its difficulty, so the parallels to Dark Souls won't be lost here. 

If there's anything that qualifies as *the* quintessential cult classic of the NES/ Nintendo Famicom, it's this.
