This animation was originally released to all patrons, who spent 5,-USD or more on 29. July 2017.

I spent about 70 hours on this little shortmovie and tried a lot of new things especially in Storytelling, which will come in handy for my next projects to finish: The Wedding, Journey to Yamatai and of course Forgotten Rituals.

I am really interested in your feedback. So please let me know if you appreciate the additional effort I put into story-animations or if it is just a waste of time in your opinion...no one is watching porn for the plot, right?  ;-)


Public release will be on 10. August, so for now this animation is exclusive for all patrons, who spent 5,-USD or more.

Gaoddamnit, actually the plot did intrigue me. Kinda wish you'd flesh out the characters a bit. The animation is top notch as always. In the end it was a well directed short with something to be desired. Excellent job.

I'm one of the possibly few who doesn't mind to wait longer for stuff if some sort of story is attached to it. So yeah...I really appreciate the extra work you did there. It is really well done. Some hickups here and there but damn...this is great. The voice of Detective Geralt is also well done. So kudos to Ivan. Can't wait to hear him in some other Witcher work. These advertisements in the backalley remind me of some really bad joke I had in my dashboard this week...did you know that you can't spell "advertisements" without semen between the tits? ^^

This is amazing work! I love everything about this short: the noir theme, the music, the VA, the camera work, the comic-book text boxes, the neon lights in the dark fog, the despairing Yennefer followed by the stark silhouette... The details are brilliant, like turning the Witcher plot into a mob kidnapping story - I adore the half-glimpsed b&w photos in Geralt's file. Love the posters, too; I had to look up Lady in the Lake, so I even learned something new today :) I absolutely watch porn for the plot - or rather, without plot it's just too shallow, too meaningless. I can happily watch 3/4 plot and 1/4 sexy times :) This short is just brilliant, all the extra work is completely worthwhile. I don't have any intelligent comments about the technical side of things, I don't know anything about sfm, beyond noticing something odd with the shadows behind Geralt in the alley. However I would like to say, it's amazing how you managed to use darkness to create a vague, fuzzy sense of space through which the viewer is floating. It really draws attention to where the light is, and creates a sense of both slow movement through the story and of losing a grip on reality beyond a small radius. Geralt's eyes are great in the dark too :)

I really didn't thought, that someone would notice the case, Geralt is working on (A tribute to the Witcher 3 main quest) or the Easteregg with that poster you mentioned . It seems, you are watching movies, like I do - Thank you so much, Robert! Feedback like this pushes me forward like nothing else! :-)

I would never say never to another Noir-witcher-animation. Especially since the Noir-models from Ciri and Triss not even came into play in this movie.^^
