Status Update

Just a quick update today, as it's not easy with my Persistent Evil 2 project at the moment. Somehow I'm in a bit of a production hell rn.  

Due to the long runtime of the video, I've been going over and over the script too often, as well as the animations, where some poses have been taken out or put back in. I've also somehow lost track of which voice recordings are actually already finished and which parts of the script that have been rewritten too often still need to be recorded.

I now urgently need to tidy up and find out where I stand.

Hopefully, though, the little Witcher animation challenge has given me a new way to handle such big projects. I've realised how much more fun it is to complete projects in a short space of time. Unlike long project phases, there's no danger of having to touch and change things over and over again.

That's why I now want to try to complete parts of PE2 piece by piece. For example, the first 3-4 minutes including the final cut and audio production and not, as before, first record all the dialogue, then all the animations, then all the filler audio recordings, then all the lighting, all the rendering, all the audio design etc. 

This will hopefully give me more variety in my work, a greater sense of achievement and fewer reasons to change things.

A bit like PerfectDeadbeat does with his animations, for example. 

Of course, this also means that I would have the VAs recorded much more frequently and less much per commission, but that shoulnd't be a big deal hopefully. 

And of course that would also mean that I would have something to show you more often. The only question is if you would like it, if you already know 90% of a film when it's released. 

Would that be a negative thing for you or would it not really matter?

I'd love to hear your feedback on this, since I am really not sure about the right way here.🤔
