Hi Evie, I never really thought about how Marty and Doc knew each other. All I know is that they are good friends and Marty must’ve helped him with other inventions otherwise Doc wouldn’t have trusted him with the Time Machine. The song that is playing towards the beginning when Marty is late for school and is hitching rides on the back of cars is called “The Power of Love” and then he tries to play it as an audition for a school show. What’s funny is that the teacher who told him it’s too loud is Huey Lewis. He’s the lead singer of the band who wrote The Power of Love. Also, I wasn’t sure if you caught this, but when Marty is playing that song, Johnny B Goode at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance. The one band member called his cousin Chuck Berry and said “listen to this” and held the phone out. The song Marty is playing is actually by Chuck Berry and Chuck would play the guitar skipping across the stage the way Marty did. I hope you do watch Part II and III and then at some point watch the Supernatural episodes when Dean and Sam go to the past and you will recognize things from the movies

I like all the questions this movie opens up. Like how Marty's parents get married and have a kid and name him after a guy they met for like 1 week 15 years earlier. And that kid then grows up to look exactly like the guy from years earlier. The father has to be asking some questions, right? Did his wife keep in touch with this Marty guy for 15 years? did they meet up for some one night stand around the time Marty was conceived? Why else would Marty their son look like Marty from the dance in 1955?
