Such a great episode - love Tessa. So sad to lose Pamela. What she said to Sam at the end definitely made say, "Oh no!" LOL! The whole story with Cole was heartbreaking as well, as a mom I can't imagine how you'd keep breathing after losing a child. Horrible. Yes, Kim Manners was a producer/director on the show and was incredibly well-loved. He was with the show from the very beginning, he first directed the boys in S1E3, Dead in the Water. The boys have said, he was a huge reason that right from the get go, the show was so grounded in family and relationships. He was always telling them to "find the nuances". He died very unexpectedly and very quickly in the middle of S4, just a couple of months before this episode aired. The cancer was discovered very late and advanced incredibly fast. Terrible loss for sure, by all accounts he was a lovely man. 😞 The next episode is one of my all time favourites, hope you like it!!💓

Dean telling Tessa he wishes he had gone with her really hit me. I know they said that Dean torturing people in Hell was the first seal, but I view Dean not going with Tessa as the true first seal (which isn't Dean's fault, his Dad made the deal). It was the first time the "natural order" was broken. Things were never "normal" after that.
