JENA: Hello Pledgehammers! Here are the options for this month's WrestleTalk Extra!

WCW Starrcade 1993 (suggested by Rob James)

The 10th Anniversary of Starrcade! This blast from the past includes matches such as The Shockmaster v. Awesome Kong, Lord Steven Regal v. Ricky Steamboat and Flair’s now-traditional stipulation of putting his career on the line in Vader v. Ric Flair.

WCW Starrcade 1997 (suggested by Garrett Albright)

“Hogan’s a colorful guy… but his nightmare’s black ‘n white. Paybacks Are Hell!” Actual tagline there for this PPV. Matches include Larry Zbyszko v. Eric Bischoff (with special referee Bret Hart), Eddie Guerrero v. Dean Malenko and Sting v. Hollywood Hogan.

WCW Starrcade 1998 (suggested by Marcus A. Campbell)

The streak is over! This PPV marked the end of Goldberg’s “Who’s Next?” run in a match with Kevin Nash, along with DDP v. The Giant, two separate Cruiserweight title matches, and Eric Bischoff v. Ric Flair.

WCW Starrcade 2000 (suggested by Austin Shrock)

The final WCW Starrcade. A 2007 review of this show stated “Considering the cavalcade of crap that [led] into Starrcade it was almost certainly going to be a disaster.” This card included Mike Awesome v. Bam Bam Bigelow, The Insiders v. The Perfect Event, Goldberg v. Lex Luger and Scott Steiner v. Sid Vicious.

TNA Turning Point 2006 (suggested by Lottie McCullough)

“It’s Damn Real!” This stipulation filled card included matches such as a Paparazzi Championship Series, a bikini contest of Eric Young v. Ms. Brooks, a tag team flag match and a three-way dance of Abyss v. Sting v. Christian Cage.

WWE Armageddon 2007 (suggested by Justin Edelheit)

This show had a big-four feel without being a big-four show. The supercard included matches of Chris Jericho v. Randy Orton, Beth Phoenix v. Mickie James and Edge v. Batista v. The Undertaker.

WWE TLC 2009 (suggested by “HE RAN” Aaron Hanrahan)

That scary Jericho bump! Also, the introduction of a chairs-only match! This weapon-filled show included DX v. Jeri-Show, Drew McIntyre v. John Morrison, Sheamus v. John Cena and The Undertaker v. Batista.

ROH Final Battle 2011 (suggested by Peter Brantuas)

The return of Kevin Steen! Hailing from the famed Hammerstein Ballroom, this card included a tag team gauntlet (including the Young Bucks and Future Shock), Kevin Steen v. Steve Corino, Jay Lethal v. El Generico v. Mike Bennett and Davey Richards v. Eddie Edwards.

WWE TLC 2014 (suggested by Chuck Turner)

Now with added Stairs! Called “The Demolition Derby of the WWE”, this show includes matches of Dolph Ziggler v. Luke Harper, Big Show v. Erick Rowan, John Cena v. Seth Rollins, and Bray Wyatt v. Dean Ambrose.

WWE TLC 2016 (suggested by Dan-O)

Remember branded PPVs? This Smackdown exclusive was highlighted with matches such as Alexa Bliss v. Becky Lynch in a Tables Match, The Miz v. Dolph Ziggler in a Ladder Match, The Wyatt Family v. Heath Slater and Rhyno and AJ Styles v. Dean Ambrose in a TLC match for the WWE World Championship.

WWE TLC 2018 (suggested by Isoel j irizarry)

The 10th annual TLC PPV! This show was packed with 10 matches, including a Tables match of Natalya v. Ruby Riott (complete with a table with a Jim Neidhart sticker on it), Baron Corbin v. Braun Strowman (and a host of lads), Daniel Bryan v. AJ Styles and a Triple-threat TLC match between Asuka, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.

Surprised that final battle 2012 isn’t a suggestion for this month

that guy who want to support

The WCW podcasts are my favourite. But I wouldn't complain about Oli gushing about 2011 ROH

TNA Turning Point would be cool

Graeme Scrivener

The Zack Delusion

I was definitely hoping for Final Battle 2012, but 2011 will do quite nicely

Starrcade 97 for the Win!!

“HE RAN” Aaron Hanrahan

The only reason I suggested Tlc 2009 is because as an Irish 5 year old sheamus winning the championship was special to me 😢😁

Steamed Ham Champion Dillon Haggett

TLC 2009 is a really good show and the way they did the gimmick matches I think was perfect: Chairs Match - World Heavyweight Title, Ladder Match - ECW Title, Tables Match - WWE Title and TLC - United Tag Titles. I think the ECW and Tag Title matches would surprise Oli and Luke. Plus Drew faced Morrison for the IC Title as well. Starrcade 97 or 98 would be good for the discussion around the main event while 00 would no doubt be a shit show and have Steiner on the card too.

It's gotta be the shock master! Oh god....

Callum Lucas

This was a tough one! I’m surprised neither 97 or 98 Star cafe’s have more votes!

Paul Blxck

Final Battle 2011, solely for that fantastic Steen vs. Corino match.

Dr. Judge, Private Eye

You psychopaths don't KNOW from entertainment! We haven't had a "so bad it's hilarious" WCW show in so long.
