PETE: Hello Pledgehammers!

It's time to get your votes in for what you want Oli & Luke to review for the February 2022 episode of WrestleTalk Extra! All these suggestions came from our lovely $25+ Pledgehammers, and we have a lovely bunch of people here on Patreon, so be those lovely people! Every suggestion is valid. Happy voting!

Previous February episodes have been: WWF St. Valentine's Day Massacre 1999, WWE Elimination Chamber 2014, WWE Elimination Chamber 2011, and WWE No Way Out 2004!

Your choices are...

WCW SuperBrawl III [1993] (suggested by Rob James)
The main event of this show was Big Van Vader vs Sting in a White Castle of Fear Strap Match. Elsewhere on the card was Barry Windham vs The Great Muta for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, Dustin Rhodes vs Maxx Payne for the WCW United States Championship, The Rock N' Roll Express vs The Heavenly Bodies, Cactus Jack vs Paul Orndorff and more.

WCW SuperBrawl IV [1994] (suggested by Chuck Turner)
The following year Vader was in the main event again, though this time without the Big Van part of him, facing Ric Flair for the WCW World Title with The Boss as special guest referee. Elsewhere on the show was Sting, Brian Pillman & Dustin Rhodes vs Steve Austin, Rick Rude & Paul Orndorff in a Thundercage Match, Cactus Jack & Maxx Payne vs The Nasty Boys for the WCW Tag Titles, Lord Steven Regal vs Arn Anderson for the TV title, Terry Taylor vs DDP and more.

WCW SuperBrawl Revenge [2001] (suggested by Austin Shrock)
The penultimate PPV event in WCW history, the main event of this show was Scott Steiner vs Kevin Nash in a 2-Out-Of-3 Falls Loser Leaves WCW Match for the WCW World Title. Elsewhere was DDP in action twice, against Jeff Jarrett and Chris Kanyon respectively, Rick Steiner vs Dustin Rhodes for the United States title, Chavo Guerrero Jr. vs Rey Misterio Jr. for the Cruiserweight Title and more.

WWF No Way Out 2001 (suggested by Jonathan Hedman)
Meanwhile over in WWF, The Rock was facing Kurt Angle for the WWF Championship in the main event to set up Stone Cold vs The Rock at WrestleMania X-Seven. Elsewhere, we saw The Dudley Boyz vs The Brothers of Destruction vs Edge & Christian in a Triple Threat Tag Team Tables Match for the Tag Titles, Triple H vs Stone Cold in a Three Stages Of Hell Match, Chris Jericho vs Chris Benoit vs Eddie Guerrero vs X-Pac for the Intercontinental Championship, Big Show vs Raven for the Hardcore Championship ahead of Luke's favourite match of all time at WrestleMania X-Seven, and more.

WWF No Way Out 2002 (suggested by General Jimmy G)
One year later, we saw Chris Jericho vs Stone Cold Steve Austin for the Undisputed WWF Championship in the main event, as well as Kurt Angle vs Triple H for the number one contendership with Stephanie McMahon as special guest referee. There was also The Rock vs The Undertaker, William Regal vs Edge in a Brass Knuckles on a Pole Match, RVD vs Goldust, and more.

WWE No Way Out 2003 (suggested by Marcus Campbell)
After last year's WrestleMania, where The Rock faced Hulk Hogan in one of the more iconic matches of all time, they did it again here with Rock vs Hogan in the main event. There was also Stone Cold vs Eric Bischoff, Triple H vs The Patron Saint Of WrestleTalk Extra Scott Steiner for the World Heavyweight Championship, Undertaker vs Big Show, Brock Lesnar & Chris Benoit vs Team Angle and more.

TNA Against All Odds 2008 (suggested by Lottie McCullough)
The main event of this show saw Kurt Angle take on Christian Cage for the TNA Heavyweight Title with Samoa Joe as Special Guest Outside Enforcer. I'm going to quote Wikipedia here for this next one as it was The Motor City Machine Guns & Jay Lethal vs Johnny Devine and Team 3D in a six-man tag street fight for the TNA X-Division Championship. And since Lethal got the pin, he became X-Division champion and Team 3D were then subjected to the weight limit, but if he didn't win then the X-Division would have had to disband. Makes sense to me. Also there was Awesome Kong vs ODB for the Knockouts Championship, Eric Young vs James Storm for the Beer Drinking Championship, yes that's a thing, and also the X-Division & World Championship Feast or Fired Title Shots were on the line between Scott Steiner and Petey Williams.

WWE No Way Out 2009 (suggested by Garrett Albright)
In one of the more famous PPV-long stories, the opening match was an Elimination Chamber match for the WWE Championship, with current champ Edge being eliminated early. He then forced himself into the World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber match in the main event, and won the belt. Also there was Shawn Michaels vs JBL, Jack Swagger vs Finlay for the ECW Championship, and Randy Orton vs Shane McMahon in a No Holds Barred Match.

Andrew Baylis

Read that list and was considered voting for any of them apart from No Way Out 2009. Aside from it being in the horrendous 2008-2011 era of WWE, It should be disqualified for not having any Scott Steiner on it.

Andy Burgess

2009 over 2001....are y'all f**king crazy?! PG fanboys need help *shakes head*

Callum Lucas

No Way Out 2009 is a show I actually quite liked, but I’d love No Way Out 2001. That show is so good!!

Gutted that 09!?! is winning this. Austin vs Triple H from No Way Out 01 is one of my all time favourite matches. Would love to hear oli and luke discuss that match

Chris Smith

To be fair, 09 has two of the better back to back Chamber matches. The previous years chamber had Great Khali and Big Daddy V. I can't remember any Chamber PPV from 2012 onward.

Brandon Severiano

Damn, I voted No Way Out 2003 to keep Scott Steiner a part of conversation.

The Mythical Jason the Cabbie

Against All Odds sounds so insane and chaotic that I don't know how it isn't running away with the vote right now

Jonathan V Hedman

Every vote for anything other than 2001 Nia Jax hurts your favorite wrestler.

The Zack Delusion

Damn, missed the poll. NWO 01 would’ve been my vote.
