As someone who has been to 4 AEW shows in the last few months, I can assure you they do not do crowd sweetening. Those reactions are all real. The Adam Cole “boom” and “Adam Cole bay bay”are always incredibly loud. In fact, the crowds are louder in person than you can tell on TV. So if anything, they need to mic the crowd better to pick them up better, not use any artificial sweetening. Even things you guys often complain about, especially when it comes to Jericho stuff, get great reactions from the live crowd, which is what Tony has said he usually bases booking decisions on, the live crowd reactions.
