PETE: Hello Pledgehammers!

I know, it's not September yet and the August episode of Extra hasn't even come out yet. BUT. Bear with me.

Due to reasons that we can't say yet, September is going to be an extremely busy month for us at WrestleTalk, and to make sure we can still provide you with the content you've pledged for, Oli & Luke are going to be recording September's episode of WrestleTalk Extra a little early in August.

Remember - every suggestion is valid, and we have a lovely bunch of people here on Patreon. Be those lovely people. Happy voting!

Previous September episodes have been: All In, WWE Unforgiven 2006, and TNA Unbreakable 2005!

Your options for this month are...

AWA SuperClash I [1985] (suggested by Jonathan Hedman)
Featuring such recognisable names as Ric Flair, Sgt. Slaughter, The Fabulous Freebirds, Rick Martel, Harley Race, Mil Máscaras, and a young Steve Regal and Scott Hall, this card boasts a who's who of 80s wrestling not in WWF.

WCW Fall Brawl 1996 (suggested by Chuck Turner)
WAR GAMES! nWo (Hogan, Hall, Nash, & nWo Sting) faced Team WCW (Luger, Flair, Anderson & Sting) in the main event of this show in a War Games match. Elsewhere The Giant faced Randy Savage, Chris Benoit faced Chris Jericho, DDP faced Chavo Guerrero, and more.

WCW Fall Brawl 1997 (suggested by Marcus Campbell)
WAR GAMES! Again! This time it was nWo (Bagwell, Nash, Syxx & Konnan) vs The Four Horsemen (Benoit, McMichael, Flair & Hennig) in the main event in a War Games match. Elsewhere Luger & DDP faced Scott Hall & Randy Savage, The Giant faced Scott Norton, Jeff Jarrett faced Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero faced Chris Jericho and more.

ECW Anarchy Rulz 1999 (suggested by Rob James)
In the main event of this show, RVD faced Balls Mahoney for the ECW Television Championship, while the ECW World Title was defended by Taz against Mike Awesome and Masato Tanaka in a Three-Way Dance. Tommy Dreamer & Raven faced Rhino & Steve Corino for the World Tag Titles, Tajiri faced Super Crazy & Little Guido in a Three-Way Dance, and more.

WWF Unforgiven 1999 (suggested by Garrett Albright)
The main event of this show was a six-pack challenge for the vacant WWF Championship between Triple H, Big Show, The British Bulldog, Kane, Mankind & The Rock, with Stone Cold Steve Austin as an outside enforcer. Also, yes, The Kennel From Hell is here with Al Snow vs Big Boss Man. APA vs The Dudleys, Jeff Jarrett vs Chyna, New Age Outlaws vs Edge & Christian and more made up the rest of the card.

WCW Fall Brawl 2000 (suggested by Adonis)
Booker T faced Kevin Nash for the WCW World Championship in the main event of this show in a Caged Heat match, whatever that is. Scott Steiner vs Goldberg, Mike Awesome vs Jeff Jarrett, Sting vs The Great Muta vs Vampiro, and possibly the most WCW match ever: Disqo, Rey Misterio Jr., Juventud Guerrera, Konnan, Tygress, Big Vito & Paul Orndorff faced Mark Jindrak, Sean O'Haire, Mike Sanders, Chuck Palumbo, Shawn Stasiak, Reno & Johnny the Bull to a no contest. That's a lot of people for nothing to happen.

WWF Unforgiven 2000 (suggested by Wesley Potter)
A Fatal 4-Way for the WWF Championship main evented the show, with The Rock defending the title against Chris Benoit, Kane & The Undertaker. Triple H faced Kurt Angle in a No DQ match, Eddie Guerrero faced Rikishi for the Intercontinental Title, The Hardy Boyz faced Edge & Christian in a Steel Cage, and more.

TNA No Surrender 2007 (suggested by Lendell Brenson)
Also known as The Kurt Angle Show. Firstly, Kurt Angle & Sting defended their Tag Titles against Adam "Pacman" Jones & Ron Killings, then later he defended the X-Division Championship against Jay Lethal, and then finally main evented, defending the World Heavyweight Title against Abyss. Elsewhere, Christian Cage faced Samoa Joe, AJ Styles & Tomko bested ten other teams to become number one contenders in a gauntlet match, and more.

WWE Unforgiven 2008 (suggested by LinksTheSun)
CM Punk was originally supposed to defend his World Heavyweight Championship in a Championship Scramble match on this show, but was attacked by Randy Orton beforehand and was removed, leaving replacement Chris Jericho, Batista, Kane, JBL & Rey Mysterio to fight for the belt instead. There were two other Championship Scramble matches on this show for the ECW and WWE Championship, as well as Shawn Michaels vs Chris Jericho in an Unsanctioned match and more.

WWE Night of Champions 2015 (suggested by Robert Spence)
In a match that forced to Sting to retire, until he didn't, Seth Rollins faced The Icon for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, as well as Rollins defending his United States Championship against John Cena immediately beforehand. The Dudley Boyz faced The New Day, The Wyatt Family faced Chris Jericho, Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns, Charlotte faced Nikki Bella, and more.

ROH All-Star Extravaganza VIII [2016] (suggested by Tom Delves)
In a main event Ladder War match, The Young Bucks faced The Addiction [Daniels & Kazarian] and The Motor City Machine Guns [Shelley & Sabin]. Elsewhere, Adam Cole faced Michael Elgin for the ROH World Championship, Jay Lethal faced Tetsuya Naito, Kyle O'Reilly faced Hangman Page, Bobby Fish faced Donovan Dijak for the Television Championship, and more.

Voting for the championship scramble matches at Unforgiven 08 just for those few minutes when The Brian Kendrick was WWE Champion!

The Zack Delusion

ROH is leading. Really happy about that. I have very positive memories of that show.

Jonathan V Hedman

The AWA would be awesome not only for how stacked it is in 80’s wrestlers but to hear the reactions from a historical standpoint

Jonathan V Hedman

Names like Mil “No Yob” Máscaras, Scott Hall, Mr. Perfect, Kerry Von Erich, The Road Warriors, The Freebirds but one of the best matches is the Ric Flair vs Magnum TA. For every vote not for AWA Denise is mean to a cat.

So happy to see a very awesome ROH show winning! I really hope it can hold onto that lead! Has an ROH show ever won for Extra before? I don't think so, but I could be forgetting one.
