It's January, so you know that means there's an awful lot of Royal Rumble suggestions.

WWF Royal Rumble 1988 (suggested by Austin Shrock)
The very first Royal Rumble - which was only a 20-man affair. The show was actually main evented by The Islanders vs The Young Stallions, and also featured The Jumping Bomb Angels vs The Glamour Girls for the WWF Women's Tag Team Championship.

WWF Royal Rumble 1992 (suggested by Chuck Turner)
The first Royal Rumble match to actually have stakes, the 1992 incarnation was for the vacant WWF Championship, and led to Ric Flair's now famous "With A Tear In My Eye" promo. Elsewhere on the show, Roddy Piper faced The Mountie for the Intercontinental Championship, and The Natural Disasters faced The Legion of Doom for the WWF Tag Team Championship.

WWF Royal Rumble 1998 (suggested by Soren Nordh)
The second of Stone Cold's back-to-back Royal Rumble wins, the show also saw the likes of Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker for the WWF Championship in a Casket Match, The Rock vs Ken Shamrock for the Intercontinental Championship, The Legion of Doom vs The New Age Outlaws, and more.

ECW Guilty As Charged 2001 (suggested by Chris Petrou)
In what turned out to be the final nationally and globally broadcast event for the original ECW before it filed for bankruptcy two months later, The Sandman vs Steve Corino vs Justin Credible for the ECW Championship before the winner then immediately faced Rhino. RVD faced Jerry Lynn, and the show also featured Tommy Dreamer, Balls Mahoney, and other ECW mainstays.

WWF Royal Rumble 2002 (suggested by Zander Mania)
Fighting for an Undisputed WWF Championship at WrestleMania X8, Triple H was the victor in this Rumble on a show that also featured Ric Flair vs Mr. McMahon in a Street Fight, Chris Jericho vs The Rock for the aforementioned Undisputed Championship and Edge vs William Regal for the Intercontinental Championship among other matches.

WWE Royal Rumble 2003 (suggested by Colin MacLean)
Scott Steiner and Triple H continued their feud for the World Heavyweight Championship, Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit faced off for the WWE Championship, and Brock Lesnar went on to win the Rumble match itself -  setting up the infamous Angle vs Lesnar bout at WrestleMania.

WWE New Year's Revolution 2005 (suggested by Marcus Campbell)
An Elimination Chamber match to determine the vacant World Heavyweight Championship main evented this show, with Triple H, Randy Orton, Batista, Chris Jericho, Chris Benoit, and Edge all competing. Elsewhere Shelton Benjamin faced Maven for the Intercontinental Championship, while Eugene and William Regal faced Christian and Tyson Tomko for the Tag Team Championship.

WWE Royal Rumble 2005 (suggested by Lendell Brenson)
JBL faced Big Show and Kurt Angle in a triple threat for the WWE Championship, Triple H faced Randy Orton for the World Heavyweight Championship, and in the main event, Batista won the Royal Rumble, after that infamous finish featuring an irate Vince McMahon tearing both quads.

WWE Royal Rumble 2007 (suggested by Ryan Stewart)
Two years later, Batista was facing Mr. Kennedy for the World Heavyweight Championship, Bobby Lashley faced Test for the ECW World Championship, John Cena faced Umaga for the WWE Championship, while The Undertaker was the victor in the main event Royal Rumble match.

WWE Royal Rumble 2010 (suggested by Jonathan Hedman)
Featuring an epic Edge return from injury and subsequent win, and the beginnings of the incredible Shawn Michaels journey to WrestleMania, the Royal Rumble of 2010 is one to remember. Elsewhere on the show, Sheamus faced Randy Orton for the WWE Championship and The Undertaker faced Rey Mysterio for the World Heavyweight Championship.

NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 9 [2015] (suggested by Sean Blanford)
Kenny Omega faced Ryusuke Taguchi for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship, Meiyu Tag (Hirooki Goto & Katsuyori Shibata) faced Bullet Club (Gallows & Anderson) for the IWGP Tag Team Championships, AJ Styles faced Tetsuya Naito, Shinsuke Nakamura faced Kota Ibushi for the Intercontinental Championship, and Kazuchika Okada faced Hiroshi Tanahashi for the Heavyweight Championship in the main event.

NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 11 [2017] (suggested by Nate)
Adam Cole faced Kyle O'Reilly for the ROH World Championship, Hiromu Takahashi faced Kushida for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship, Hirooki Goto faced Katsuyori Shibata for the NEVER Openweight Championship, Tetsuya Naito faced Hiroshi Tanahashi for the Intercontinental Championship, and Kazuchika Okada faced Kenny Omega for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in the main event.

wXw Back To The Roots XIX [2020] (suggested by Dan)
On this card from January 2020, Lucky Kid faced Scotty Davis, Jay Skillet faced Absolute Andy, Alexander James faced Jurn Simmons, and there was an 8-man steel cage match pitting the team of Avalanche, David Starr, Julian Pace & Leon van Gasteren vs Bobby Gunns, Norman Harras & Pretty Bastards (Maggot & Prince Ahura).

Michaels/Taker is hands down the best casket match ever, easily, so RR '98 is my pick, but RR '02 will probably get it but that's also a great one.
