Hello Pledge Hammers!

Luke and Oli sit down to talk about this historical show from the world of professional wrestling, WWE Elimination Chamber 2014! One month away from Daniel Bryan becoming WWE Champion, he's in the Chamber with Randy Orton, John Cena, Cesaro, Sheamus and Christian.

But really, we're all here for one epic match: Titus O'Neill vs. Darren Young. Kidding, of course, we're here for Cameron vs. AJ Lee for the Divas Championship.

Kidding again, we're here for The Shield vs. The Wyatt Family in their first in-ring encounter!

Lovely stuff!

Even though Luke yelled the theme of the PPV into the microphone very loudly

The funny thing is if you listen to the WM30 episode/review you will hear the exact same Clean Bandit story as you hear here. I guess it was a pretty popular song on the charts.

I wish someone would do a list of the top 10 elimination chambers 😁😁

Robert Rose

Michael Cole ends the PPV screaming about how enough is enough when it came to screwing Daniel Bryan out of the title and that something had to finally be done about this. They don't have the show end that way if they don't know by this point how Mania is ending.

The Usos are actually FRATERNAL twins. Once you know whos who you can see all the differences. Jey's face is skinnier. The easiest way to start telling them apart is that Jey Uso has a big cross tattoo on his right shoulder, whereas Jimmy just has all the tribal designs.

how can I download the podcast?

Chris Merryman

There should be a download option on the app, though if I could make a suggestion download a podcast catcher and grab the RSS feed. This will get you access to not only this PPV but every other one they have reviewed

After hearing the praise you guys gave wyatts vs shield I went back to peacock and watched it in full including the promo. First of all the promo was incredible. Wwes production value and bray wyatts words are a match made in wrestling heaven. Absolutely awe-inspiring. Secondly, I think this match in and of itself, is proof positive that the thunder dome era may have just been the best thing to happen to the quality of wwes product in 15/20 years. I’ll explain. Right before the match, while dean is doing his schtick and the shield are holding him back. Bray Wyatt looks at dean ambrose and goes “what are you the errand boy? Look how they treat you” and while yea I suppose you could say it was followed up on during the actual match. I don’t think it ever really was. And I think that’s bc it wasn’t supposed to be heard that clearly. Wwe had that habit of “well if it wasn’t said directly into the mic and didn’t happen on the hard cam it’s not cannon.” And only VERY recently have reintroduced subtlety into their storytelling. And I think that can be tied back to the thunder dome era bc it was the first time that they HAD to start acknowledging the things the wrestlers said in the ring that were audible to the fans who may have actually been paying attention. It opens up an avenue of character work that wwe wasn’t really privy too for a LONG time previously. I mean, of all the thing people still talk about with stone cold, one of them is “what was he saying all those times when he was coming to the ring” “what was he saying after he stunned you and was trash talking you right in your face” it allows people to get their character through in a completely new way. And I feel we have the thunder dome to thank for wwe being more open to it
