WWF Saturday Night's Main Event #22 (suggested by Jonathan Hedman)

In a different change of pace, we've got Saturday Night's Main Event #22 from July 1989, which saw Hulk Hogan take on Honky Tonk Man, Jimmy Snuka face Greg Valentine, and The Brainbusters take on Demolition.

WCW Bash at the Beach 1996 (suggested by Phil Stopford/Chris Petrou)

It might be the most famous wrestling PPV of all-time, WCW's Bash at the Beach 1996, which saw the formation of the New World Order following Hulk Hogan's heel turn. Sorry, spoilers. Also on the show, Ric Flair faces Konnan, and Dean Malenko defends his Cruiserweight Championship against Disco Inferno.

WWF Fully Loaded: In Your House (suggested by Lendell Brenson)

Moving back to the WWF and it's Attitude Era, Steve Austin teams with The Undertaker to face Mankind and Kane, while The Rock and Triple H have a 2-out-of-3 falls match for the Intercontinental Championship. Also, Sable and Jacqueline have a bikini contest.

WWF Fully Loaded 1999 (suggested by Barely Average Gaming)

One year on and the landscape in WWF is... pretty much the same. Triple H and The Rock have a match, and Steve Austin and The Undertaker headline the show. Also Big Show is now in the company and is facing Kane in a hardcore match. I amazingly saw this match live. It was just in 2016. Because sometimes things in this company never change.

ECW Heat Wave 1999 (suggested by RazMansReality)

Our one ECW PPV for this month, and it's a scorcher (geddit?)! Rob Van Dam and Jerry Lynn team up to take on The Impact Players, while Taz defends his ECW Championship against Yosohiro Taijiri.

WWF InVasion (suggested by #TeamLOL)

I've got to be honest, I am AMAZED that we've not done this show yet. It's one of the most controversial PPVs of all-time, as Team WWF face off against Team WCW/ECW in brand warfare. Also on the show, Raven takes on William Regal. Which, of course, is match of the night.

WWE Vengeance 2002 (suggested by Colin MacLean)

Spoilers, WWE beat WCW and ECW in the end. And one year one, they presented Vengeance 2002 with a triple threat main event of The Rock vs. The Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle. Also on the show, The Un-Americans face Edge & Hulk Hogan, and a young John Cena faces Chris Jericho. What ever happened to those two?

WWE Vengeance 2003 (suggested by DAAAN)

It's another triple threat main event, as Brock Lesnar defends the WWE Championship against Kurt Angle and Big Show, while Vince McMahon has a match with the one-legged Zach Gowan. No, that wasn't a typo.

WWE Taboo Tuesday 2004 (suggested by Marcus Campbell)

Before the McMahons made us the Authority in December 2018, WWE put us in control in 2004 for Taboo Tuesday. Randy Orton faces Ric Flair in the main event while Triple H defends his World Heavyweight Championship against Shaun Michaels.

TNA No Surrender 2005 (suggested by Nate (dropped surname)

Meanwhile, over in TNA, Raven is the NWA Worlds Champion and defends against Abyss, Christopher Daniels defends his X-Divsion Championship against Petey Williams, and AJ Styles takes on Sean Waltman.

WWE Great American Bash 2005 (suggested by Robert Spence)

2005 might have been a rough period for WWE, but that didn't spot them hosting the Great American Bash! JBL defends against Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship, Rey Mysterio and Eddie Guerrero clash, and The Undertaker has *that* match against Muhammad Hussan.

TNA Victory Road 2006 (suggested by Dylan Tyrrell Reeve)

Over in Florida, TNA went down a Victory Road! Featuring a fatal four-way for the #1 contendership to the NWA Worlds Championship between Sting, Christian Cage, Samoa Joe and Scott Steiner. Meanwhile, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels team with Sirelda to take on Gail Kim and American's Most Wanted, Raven faces Larry Zbyszko in a Hair vs. Hair match, and Team 3D clash with The James Gang.

WWE Great American Bash 2006 (suggested by Duncan)

It's time for another Punjabi Prison Match! This time between The Undertaker and The Great Khali. Amazingly, Oli and I actually reviewed these matches on a really old episode of WrestleRamble (it's early in the podcast archives). Also, King BOOOKAH takes on Rey Mysterio for the World Heavyweight Championship.

WWE Great American Bash 2008 (suggested by Th0mm0)

We focus less on "Great American" and put emphasis on BASH! Triple H defends the WWE Championship against Edge, JBL and John Cena have a Parking Lot Brawl, and CM Punk defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Batista.

WWE Night of Champions 2009 (suggested by Jere Personen)

Every title is on the line! CM Punk defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio clashes with Dolph Ziggler over the Intercontinental belt, and there's a triple threat for the WWE Championship between Randy Orton, Triple H and John Cena.

NJPW Dominion 2015 (suggested by Krinias)

Over to Japan now, and Kazuchika Okada looks to gain the IWGP Heavyweight Championship from AJ Styles, while Hirooki Goto defends his Intercontinental Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura. Also on the show, Kushida and Kenny Omega clash over the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship, and Bullet Club of Gallows and Anderson face off against The Kingdom of Matt Taven and Michael Bennett (with Maria Kanellis) for the IWGP Tag Team Championships.

WWE Battleground 2016 (suggested by Dan-O)

The Shield collides as Dean Ambrose (whatever happened to him?) defends against Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Also on the show, Big Cass and Enzo team with John Cena to take on The Club, while The Miz defends his Intercontinental Championship against Darren Young (?).

WWE Great Balls of Fire (suggested by Damion Wade Wilson Fisk)

It's another surprising suggestion that Oli and I never reviewed! Brock Lesnar defends the Universal Championship against Samoa Joe, Heath Slater and Curt Hawkins have a match (no really), and Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns clash in an Ambulance Match.

Chris Petrou

Please vote for Bash at the Beach ‘96. It’s one of the most historic PPVs of all-time, isn’t a WWF/WWE PPV, and isn’t from the Attitude Era. It’s a nice history lesson for wrestling fans who may be younger and didn’t experience that era live. Diversity is good. Let’s give it a try, yea?

Jere Pesonen

2009 Night of Champions IS really good wrestling show.

Papa_Rican

I'd like to see IYH: Beware of Dog back as a choice. The night Vince tapped out to Mother Nature.

I feel bad for the pain of having to watch Invasion...

Martin Putt

Why does everyone always pick WWE/WWF pay per views no one ever picks anything different.

SgtPepper. Yes Oli, THAT SgtPepper!

Come on fellas...lets give wcw a little love. The mid/under cards had Eddie, rey, regal, jericho, and the best WRESTLING of the night back in those days. They barely knew what they had back then on their roster.

SgtPepper. Yes Oli, THAT SgtPepper!

Also, hey Wrestletalk Lads...maybe one day we can do a non-wwe honorable mention vote made up of the most frequently suggested losing ppvs NOT wwe?? Seems like it'll b the only way we will get to hear u guys talk up/tear down ANYTHING different. Im partial to wcw, but @ this point tna/njpw wld b welcomed to. Thx boys. Love the consistency

wrestletalk

LUKE: We offer up the poll so people can tell us what they want to hear. We'd like to do more non-WWE stuff, but the WWE stuff always wins. Which means that's what people want us to talk about. If we did a solely non-WWE poll, we'd be creating content not everyone is interested in and that wouldn't be fair.

Dave Humphries

And this why the wwe puts out what it wants because no matter how much, people say they hate it. People still watch it, might be less watching it live these days. As the wrestletalk team keep us informed. But clearly it’s still getting watched, these polls are a testament to it.

SgtPepper. Yes Oli, THAT SgtPepper!

Point well made L.O. I just get a little frustrated, and not being able to afford the suggestion tier, the 80's baby in me would just LOVE to hear what u slightly younger fellas think of the "southern" brand of rasslin'. U guys r so insightful, it wld b a real treat. What DO u guys think of early/mid 90's wcw???

Jere Pesonen

I wonder IS IT a British thing that so many people adds R to My last name :) it's Funny thought. Perse means ass in finnish lanquake :)

Steveisnotmyname

While I REEEAAAALLLLYYYY want something that isn't WWE, like the TNA No Surrender 2005 or Dominion 2015, I'm okay with Invasion, since it is such a controversial show, and you guys haven't done it yet. Still... I was hoping for one of those non-WWE shows. :-(

Steveisnotmyname

Unfortunately, we're getting another WWE PPV instead... but at least this one has WCW involved! (That's a joke, btw)

Josh Razauskas

Glad to see my suggestion made the poll! 😎
