News, next episode, new art/improvements, etc! (Patreon)

Hey all!
I'm thinking it's about time we updated and improved a few things about our little VN series here!

The big major update is going to be the dialogue images, which are also called side images. Those are the pics of the character's face that appear beside the dialogue box. I'm going to be completely redoing and updating them for all the characters over the next few weeks! I'll have some sketches of them to show off soon. It will be great to have improved pics for all the folks at the Cape, and it'll freshen everything up as well!

I'm also going to slightly reformat the visual interface of the show. Nothing major tho! Currently there are two side images shown at the same time during most scenes. By doing this my hope was to give the scenes a more conversational feel, and to visually set it apart from other VNs. I feel this was successful in a lot of ways, but it was also a little confusing at times, and it is a lot more work to code. It also turns out that by adding the narrative images (aka insets, the illustrations that appear during the story) I can express that conversational vibe, or any vibe I want, through those images instead of through the interface. For these reasons, future episodes will have slightly different formatting that features a more traditional one side image at a time instead of two.

Of course, reformatting and making dozens and dozens of side images is a lot of work! So, next month, there will be no episode of the Cape. We ask that y'all stick with us and support us during this improvement and updating project. And as a little incentive, I will be posting two fully rendered images per week during the month of August, each featuring folks from the Cape in various stages of undress and/or fucking! I'll also be posting updates of the new side images and formatting as it all comes together.
